Review: An engine cylinder was delivered for boring/honing. Business requested piston to ensure proper fit. Piston was delivered on Friday 17 Oct. Work was to be complete by Tuesday 21 Oct. My son, [redacted], received Telcon on Mon 20 oct saying cylinder was ready for pickup. Son agreed to pick up on Tue 21 Oct as originally agreed. Son went to pick up Cylinder on Tue 21 Oct to learn that work hadent even been started. Later that day We learned that it was impossible to accurately bore the cylinder. Accordingly, my son and I visited the machine shop and delivered another cylinder which we thought would permit the proper bore. However, if it was found useable would require a flange repair. The next day, my son received a telcon which he asked me to return , which I did. I was informed that it was also impossible to properly bore that cylinder as well. My son went to retrieve the cylinder and new piston we provided. At that time, my son learned that the flange repair was completed on a cylinder that was unuseable. The machine shop representative presented my son with a repair order listing work to be completed: " Bore & Home MC cylinders $75.00 Repair flange $150.00" My son asked why the flange repair was completed before determining if the cylinder was useable. I wasn't present, but I am told that the Mmachine shop representative had an attitude and demanded $150.00 if my son wanted our piston back. Furious, my son paid the $150.00 and retrieved the piston and useless cylinder with a properly repaird flange. When my son returned the parts to me, he gave me the paid repair order as well with "Bore & Hone MC Cylinder scratched out.
I called the machine shop to find out why they repaired a flange on an unuseable cylinder and encountered a screaming person with a serious attitude who hung upon me.
Such business practices are reprehensible and need to be reported to someone in a position to seek remediation.Desired Settlement: Ensure the public at large recognizes that this is not a business to be trusted or utilized. Return of the $150.00 is desireable, but warning the public at large of such dastardly performance should be avoided. How such attitude in a business can expect to attract customers is truly baffling.
