There was no contract with Ms*** and all work completed was paid in cash by herWe put down the dirt as customer requested along the driveway, sidewalks and other low areas in her yard; we spread it out so that it would blend in with the rest of the yardWe put a seed mixture of annual rye and
red fescue, then we applied straw to the groundAfterwards we hauled off the remainder of the dirt pile, shoveled it onto a trailer and transported, then shoveled it off the trailerI then get a message from her saying that her and her boyfriend decided not to do the skirt around her shedThere was no mention of being upset about the yard until I saw the complaintShe states in the complaint she called and I didn't return her call, the only thing that seems is she called on a weekend when I was at the lake with my familyAt this point she is wanting money back for the deposit she put down for the aheadIt is my position the scope of work was completedThe job may have taken longer to get the dirt and seed down due to weather conditions and timing but all work was completed in a respectful timely mannerYes I was doing other jobs in between but I have a policy that deposits aren't refundableFurther there was no complaint about the work we did only the fact they changed their mind about the skirtI always treated her with courtesy and respect and everything that we have done she was pleased withFurthermore in a *** post she claims we did poor and mediocre work trying to drive my ratings downThen Ms*** had family members and friends go on my FB page doing poor ratings, needless to say I've had no dealings with her family members or her friends. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not accept the resolution. I would love to have my money back, but more than that, his rating needs to go down and I would accept that resolution even without a return of deposit. It is correct that there was no signed contract, which looking back was a mistake on my part. I paid in cash because that was what the owner said he preferred. I did in fact mention that I was not fully pleased with the yard in a email to the owner. The [redacted] post was to warn others of his actions. I stated that some work was good, mediocre, and poor, not only mediocre and poor as the owner states. I left one rating and he deleted it, so someone else left a rating/review in place of me, but he deleted that as well. I called multiple times. He did not respond to texts, emails, or calls. This was over weeks, not one weekend. If he has a policy that refunds are non refundable, that must be in the contract I didn't sign.
