Home builder J. Davis caused damage to my property during construction of their home adjacent to my property. Builder promised repairs never did.
Builder caused severe damage to my property on several occasions while building next to our property. Large tractors ran over my beautiful grass several times, killing my grass, dumping piles of mud and dirt and destroying the elevation. I texted and spoke to Jason Davis on several occasions. He promised to repair the damaged he had caused to my property on during several phone calls, but never came through on his promises. The last time we spoke, Jason Davis told me that when his team installed new sod on their new construction build, they would repair all of the areas including elevation and new sod. That never happened. In fact, this week after his sod was installed, he didn't repair my yard as promised. Today, I left an additional voicemail for Jason Davis as well as a text message. If the builder cannot repair the damage he or any of his contracted servicers caused to my property, we will have to begin a legal proceeding which will far exceed the cost of repairs. There is only an option to upload one image file on this complaint. However, we have additional photographs and snapshots of text messages requesting repairs directly with Jason Davis that go all the way back to June of 2019.
Mr. Davis company needs to repair all damage to my lawn. Mr. Davis needs to removed dumped dirt, put new top of the line soil that will enable proper and healthy growth of new grass that they will also provide. Mr. Davis needs to also fix all grading in the damaged area. Mr. Davis should provide an apology in writing describing their mistake and resolution.
Good Afternoon,
I met with Mr. Wednesday the 19th at 330 pm. I thoroughly explained what a utility easement is and how utility companies may access his property. The pictures attached to his complaint actually showed very clearly that this was a result of the service provider digging in power to my property and connecting at transformer located in his property. This work is not done by the builder. We addressed every word of his written complaint and I explained to him that *** had actually been the one to dig in his property to make the AEP/PSO electrical connection at tranformer. He has a much better understanding of how easements work, who dug up his yard and that J. Davis Homes has done nothing outside of Normal Building Practices. Conversation ended very well and very polite. I started out asking him to call the utility company for repairs to the areas they damaged, but as we talked and his tone changed and my guard went down, I agreed to take care of the area of concern. I leveled the area yesterday and had *** go by today to look at sod needs. It is not worth having any angry neighbor in any area I build. I believe we have resolved all issue or concerns that he may have. He stated he would be sending a follow up message as well to voice his approval of actions taken.
Thanks,
Jason Davis

Mr. Davis and I met as described and he graciously agreed to provide repairs to our lawn.
He took time to explain what had taken place and initiated immediate action to begin the process
of fixing the areas described. I'm glad we had the opportunity to meet and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
