Credit Repair
I had so many negative items on my credit which deprived me from purchasing an apartment for my family, and our current apartment was becoming too small for the increasing family, but all my loan applications fell through due to low credit score. I was searching for ways to fix my credit when I came across a post about the exploits of 760Plus Credit Score, I contacted them after careful deliberation with my family. They helped me increase my credit score to 810 excellent score and deleted all the negative items on my credit report. I just moved into my new apartment with my family and I have no regrets working with 760. You can reach them via email: 760pluscreditscore @ gmail . com

Telephone customer service great but other departments suck
Been with this credit union for about 40 years. Opened some savings accounts about 4 or 5 years ago to match any money they, my grandkids put in, I'd put in. These accounts were tied to me for managing, balancing and everything else associated with bank accounts. Went in to print to PDF, 2 of the account balances and all of sudden no access. These technical folks changed it so my grandkids could sign in but I no longer can sign in. Of course, my grandkids never sign in. They don't even know how much is in the account. After over an hour on the phone, I now have to go in with their legal guardian, one of their parents and sign forms so I can get back into the account. Seems to me that if they can set it up with me 4 + years ago and I have been managing and they have been associated to my personal account, they could go in a fix their screw up. But, NOPE, they are happy to inconvenience their members because of their terrible communication. I'm pretty sick and tired of their inconveniences

Dear [redacted]
Please know that IQ Credit Union does take complaints that allege our practices or policies as misleading or deceptive very seriously.  I have had the opportunity to review your account profile and can understand how due to a migration from one system to another might create...

confusion.  Some systems use parenthesis and some use a negative sign.  According tot he accounting coach [redacted], parenthesis formatting is an acceptable standard for demonstrating a negative value.  However, this usage of format was unknown to you at the time of the overdrafts.  Therefore, I am reversing all overdrafts that occurred on your account during that short period of time.  Please call me with any questions or concerns.

Best Regards,

Dear Ms. [redacted],After reviewing your complaint submitted on 2/29/16 (ID #[redacted]), we were able to determine thefollowing:We attempted to contact with you by phone four times in December (12/22, 12/28, 12/30 and 12/31) toassist you in making corrections to your account number for automatic deposits...

I've been a IQCU since 2002 I think, had a few issues through the years about the overdraft fees they charged, I'm not a wealthy person but I still paid all the fees but today 1-24-17 I finally had enough just talked to a male customer service representative about a double overdraft fee of $30, when I asked him what's going on he told me that I was charge because I had a pending amount and while that amount was pending another automatic Insurance payment came in so they charge a $30 overdraft even though the account still had enough money to cover the insurance payment, but because the other amount was still "pending" so then when the "pending" amount went through they charge another $30. How come I have to pay twice for the pending amount?
At the time of the insurance payment I had $232 minus the insurance of $132 my balance was $99 then I got charged $30 overdraft, balance now $69 then the "pending" amount of $106 form NW natural came in and I got charged again $30 so for $7 they charged me $60 somehow they find the way to accommodate the order of the transaction to charge me twice for a $7 dollars difference.
I now it is somehow my fault for the second transaction but not the first one when I still had money in the account. I tried to talk to the customer rep about but he kept repeating the same thing "you are being charged for the pending amount" before and after ok I was mad so I told him that I was closing my account he did not care and responded " go ahead".
It's really frustrating how this place process the transactions so the "members" pay more fees instead of trying to do the best they can to help members. I wasn't asking for free money just for what its fair.

Review: While on travel out of state, I checked my account balance and it listed a balance of $29, so I withdrew $20 from an ATM with a $3 service fee. What I did not realize was that there was a previous $11 charge that had not been posted to my account. So I was charged a $30 Overdraft fee. That was my fault and I had no problem with that charge. My issue is that the same day the $11 charged was posted and I was charged an additional $30 overdraft fee. That was charging $30 twice for the same $11 transaction. That was $60 in fees because my account was $6 short. I want $30 in fees refunded as I was charged twice for the same transaction.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I want $30 in fees refunded as I was charged twice for the same transaction.

We have credited back $30 to his account. Checking one's balance and having available funds are two separate things. It is imperative that people balance their accounts for outstanding items. Clearing schedules vary. The amount of the transactions do not effect overdraft fees. The refund is a one-time courtesy.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 15, 2014/06/27) */

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

While I am satisfied with the refund I received, I do not agree with IQ's ascertain that the double charging of over draft fees for the same transaction is an acceptable practice.

Review: I have been banking with IQ since I was little however just in the last few years I have been getting hit with hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees that shouldn't be on my account. I have tried to speak with multiple supervisors, none will return my calls. I have resulted in contacting an attorney and now reporting the issue to Revdex.com. Enough is enough. The most recent issue I had $51.01 in my bank account and they pulled the few cents I had from my pal account (for whatever reason) when the next transaction of $21.62 came through they charged me an overdraft fee of $30! Another transaction came through that same day for $13.18 and another $30 overdraft fee! That same day my parents put the $100 back in my account that I had loaned them. Keeping track of my purchases and transactions I thought I still had money in my account to buy the things I needed for my kids and myself. So long story short, the fees kept accruing! I checked my account a couple days back in shock that I had been charged $150 in overdraft fees and my account now sat at -$125.29! According to my books I should've had 24.67 (I didn't know they took the $.04 from my maxed pal account...I know I need to get the paid off...money is already tight without all these absurd fees). Before I had checked my account I had treated my son to [redacted] and myself to[redacted]. These too accrued fees. My account now sits at a negative $194.44 due to $210 in overdraft fees! Desired Settlement: I am looking for a refund of the $210 worth of fees that were charged to my account. The overdraft fees should've never started...we would've never gotten into this situation if they didn't start in the first place.

This complaint is regarding overdraft fees. These occur when a member charges more than what they have in their account to spend.

When signature based purchases are made, the merchant sends a transaction notification and a hold is placed on that amount while the purchase amount clears. This amount has been promised to the merchant based on the member's use of the card. Members may check their account balance online at anytime to see what their available balance is. This takes into consideration transactions they have made that are in the process of coming out of their account.

We limit overdraft charges to three per day on debit card transactions, regardless of the number of overdraft transactions a member may cause to happen. We also understand that mistakes can happen and refund one overdraft per year. We have been having conversations with this member about the overdrafts, refunding fees and splitting even more fees each year since 2011. The member left a message requesting additional fee reversals this month. Staff has been unable to reach her at the number she left. A secure email has been sent to the member requesting she call or come in to resolve this issue. We would be happy to talk to her again about splitting fees. Details regarding iQ Credit Union courtesy overdraft programs can be found at www.iQcu.com/disclosures. You can search under key words "courtesy overdraft." Our intention is to be extremely clear about our overdraft process, while still maintaining long-term member relationships.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2014/10/23) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

This all makes sense however we were charged multiple times for the same transaction. I get receiving an overdraft fee if there isn't enough in the account at the time of the transaction. However when an overdraft fee is given even though there is enough in the account to cover the charge then there was a mistake in receiving a fee. We had money in our account to cover the charges as they were withdrawn, however we still received overdraft fees. We need some sort of refund for the fees. We had money in our account that covered each transaction when they withdrew from the account. I have never had anything like this happen at any bank except IQ. It's beyond frustrating.

Review: We were getting automatically billed an annual fee for a credit card that we could not cancel and do not have. First I call and they said my wife has to show up in person to cancel. She shows up and they said since the card is under our son he needs to show up to cancel. I call back and let them know he does not live at home any more and they gave him permission to call in and cancel. He calls in and they said he need a pass code to cancel and he does not know it since he has not had the card for a long time. Desired Settlement: I am seeking for them to fix this. No bank should have any Automatic withdraw coming to your account that you can not cancel. I need to be able to cancel any charges coming to my account. Our whole family has spent hours trying to get this taken care of.

Review: My name is [redacted], me and my fianc on January 1st and 2nd, checked our bank again via the Mobile Application for IQ Credit Union, our funds were sufficient enough to do a little shopping and pay 2 bills, which 1 was to[redacted] for $150, and another was to spring for $50, while still getting some things for our new years eve event. When we paid those two bills at the end of the day our funds were still at $70.00 via the available balance of the mobile application, not the current balance which was around $270.00. This was because the mobile application had placed pre-authorization deficits on our account for the amount of $200.00. Everything was fine up to this point, as our account still had $70.00 of the remaining $270.00.When we returned home on Sunday, January 4th, we had again checked our account to make sure the bills were paid, as we were trying to plan our day out for Monday, to pay the rest of our [redacted] bill off. When we checked the account both to the preauthorization's that were pending on our mobile app, had been removed from our account, and our balance was restored to $270.00. This puzzled us and we wondered why our payments did not go through. The same night I attempted to make a purchase for $1.00 on the [redacted] to check my credit score, however [redacted] proceeded to charge me a 2nd charge for $32.95 following the immediate charge of $1.00 which was advertised and agreed to.The following Monday, when we checked our IQMobile App and then the IQ Online Website, we were shocked to find thatBoth the $150.00 was back on the account as a completed transaction leaving my remaining balance at $60.20, as well as the $50.00 for the spring account leaving my account at $10.20 in the positive, however at the same time the bank issues me an overdraft fee of $30.00 lowering my account $19.80 cents in the negative, when there was at present sufficient funds in the account to cover the transaction. This took my account overnight

Furthermore they charged me a $30.00 overdraft fee for the $1.00 withdraw which should have came out of the $10.20 available balance and should have left my account aqt $9.20, instead left my account $-50.80, and another $30.00 overdraft fee for the [redacted] credit report mistake, and then an additional $30.00 overdraft fee for my [redacted] Insurance which came out of my account as explained and per agreed by Protect cell that..

24 hour holds are placed on a member's account when they make a card based purchase, which includes payments made by a card. We have chosen to go with a shorter hold of 24 hours vs. 48 hours to be in the member's benefit. However, over a weekend, the hold can fall off before the debit it made. The member always has the ability to see what has come through their account on our Online Banking platform. Regarding the fees, the member completed a fraud dispute form for the $32.95 charge from [redacted] on January 8th. The $32.95 was reimburse by [redacted], however, they did not reimburse the member the subsequent overdraft charges that this caused. Prior to receiving the notice from the Revdex.com, four fees were reversed in the amount of $120 on January 9th as a courtesy to the member. It is my understanding, this complaint has already be resolved.
