I Love Tacos Catering

Review: We hired I Love Tacos for a wedding on August 11, 2012. After hiring this company, we received very poor customer service. Here are some specific instances of this poor service:Despite having sent emails confirming that she would attend, the owner failed to appear at a walk-through that we had scheduled for July 12. She did not call to re-schedule; I had to call her to do so. Despite the owner having sent an email to me confirming that they would provide ice water for our guests during our reception, the company did not. This caused one of my guests to have to leave the wedding to buy us ice water. Despite the owner having sent an email to me confirming that she would cut the cake, the company apparently arrived with no plans to do so. My mother and cousin had to negotiate with the owner on the spot regarding the cake while they should have been preparing for our ceremony.Lastly, during the reception itself, one of the small butane tanks that the caterers were using exploded, sending two of my guests to the hospital. We may never know whether this explosion was due to equipment malfunction or operator negligence, but we do know that the situation was handled very inappropriately by the catering company once it did occur. We have witnesses state that they saw the catering company attempt to hide evidence and lie to police officers once they arrived after the explosion.We have already negotiated with the company's insurance to cover out of pocket medical costs. However, we would also like to be sure this poor service is documented and, if appropriate, seek a refund.All of my claims can be supported by written documentation: emails and an incident report from the reception venue staff in charge during the event. Unfortunately, the ice water and cake cutting were not on the contract with this company. However, as I mentioned, we do have written verification from emails.Desired Settlement: I would like to work with Revdex.com to determine an appropriate remedy.
