Hotel Angels Reviews (3)

Review: I booked over the phone with a representative ([redacted]) who said he could secure a room at the [redacted] hotel in San Diego during a large convention in August [redacted]. ([redacted]) This was done May 22 [redacted]. Payment was made and a "Contract/Reservation Confirmation" was sent to me. When I called the booked hotel 7/18/13 to inquire about boxes that I would be shipping, they said they did not have my reservations. I also booked for my assistant at the same time. I had cancelled my other reservations I made with another hotel after receiving the confirmation from Hotel Angels for my rooms. I placed numerous calls and emails to Hotel Angels for an explanation but received no response. We called [redacted] to reverse the charges right away. I made other reservations (luckily!) at a higher rate at a hotel even further away from the convention center. Then.... we got a email from Hotel Angels a few days later saying the whole block was moved to another hotel. By this time it was to late to try and coordinate any shipping changes for the things we needed for the trade show. They were already on the way to the hotel I eventually booked. I had such a sick feeling about this lack of contact and having no chance to "make it right " with them in trying to get a hotel room for us that I don't believe they are upfront or legit. The website they have is outdated with old events and when you click through the resulting pages are in LATIN! Complete nonsense. All in all they would have ripped me off and I would have been stuck with no hotel rooms at a convention that had 7,000 attendees if I did not check about box deliveries.Desired Settlement: A response would have been nice from my calls or emails.

Review: I reserved rooms through Hotel Angels for a conference our business was attending in October. We paid in full for 2 rooms totaling $976. At the beginning of September we decided we would not be exhibiting at the show and contacted Hotel Angels by phone and email multiple times. They responded once, [redacted], CFO, [redacted]@hotelangels.net, ###-###-#### and said someone would be contacting me within 1-2 days. That was on 9/10/13 and it is now 9/25/13 and nobody has contacted me.Desired Settlement: I would like to have someone contact me to cancel our rooms and issue a refund. Their policy states that they will issue a refund minus a 28% restocking fee.

Review: In April of 2013, my company spent a large amount of money with Hotel Angels for room reservations at The [redacted] Philadelphia Downtown Hotel because they offered a good rate. They required 1/2 deposit up front to hold the five-room reservation (each room for five nights) for a conference we're attending in October 2013. Initially, I had someone calling me all the time to get the sale and sign the formal agreement so they could get their 1/2 deposit of $2,187.50. Trying to call them and speak with someone now is an impossibility. Their phones, no matter what number you call, goes into voice mail. They ask you to leave a message but nobody calls you back! Sometimes, you may get an email back (perhaps 3-5 days later on their own timeline) after constant nagging and persistent emails. You can never, ever, ever speak to a live person. I'm worried that my room reservations don't exist and that when my company arrives at the conference in October there will be no rooms for them and we will be out all our money. Also, if you click on any of the tabs on their website its in a different language or no language at all and the information under each tab is exactly the same as the other. I'm very concerned. The Revdex.com has no record of them, and I find very little information about them on the internet. My conference travel people have not heard of them either. Reputable businesses are available when you need and their customer service is easy to reach either via the internet or by phone so I have a real concern and would like to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I would hope that the Revdex.com will investigate whether this is a legitimate business or not and inform me. If it is, I would like someone from Hotel Angels to contact me by phone, or give me a legitimate phone number to call someone there so I can actually get a real live person to talk to so I can obtain confirmation and details of my reservations to give to our staff who will be traveling in October.
