Horton's Ironworks

I hired Horton's Ironworks to secure 4 air cond units. Paid half up front. He requested the balance to finish the job. He never returned to finish. I paid Mr. [redacted] $1000.00 in two checks. The first check was to start the job. He advised he needed more money to complete the job. I gave him the last $500.00 check to finish the job and he NEVER finished, neither would he return ANY phone calls. On May 30,2013 I paid Mr. [redacted] $500 via check and on June 6, 2013, he advised he needed more money to buy supplies so I already had the check made out so I gave him the remainder of the payment, by MISTAKE, and Mr. [redacted] never finished the job and never responded to any further calls.Desired SettlementSeeking refund of $500.00 that I had to pay another company to finish [redacted] work. This also includes mental anguish because our air conditioners were left unsecured for the thieves to steal again. It was many worrisome days of unrest.
