The date was 9/11/2015 when this happened. I read other customer reviews who experienced the same problem I did except I went one step further in being scamed. I was trying to get an EIN from the IRS website, or so I thought until I realized that I was automatically directed to a "filing service" which I didn't need. Unfortunately I didn't realize getting an EIN was free at that time and I should have seen the red flag when I was asked to pay $247 with credit card. Later when I went to open a bank account I was told by my banker that he has never heard anyone paying to get an EIN and it is free. That made me feel so cheated, partly due to my ignorance. Later when I googled them I found that they operate via several websites to provide the same service. They are making money out of people for a service that is completely free. They charged me $247. Not only that they have so much of my personal info which is undesirable. I called the IRS to see if the no. was legitimate but they said its not registered yet. I attempted to get my number through the irs.gov website which took less than 5 minutes but it did not go through. I am assuming that's because you can only get one EIN per name. I have called them several times and it goes straight to voice mail to leave a message. Knowing that they are making money out of innocent victims I didn't think they will call back. Please be aware of this company. I have read many of the complaints written for many years and am surprised nothing has been done to stop them. Hopefully some day they will get what is coming to them. You can't cheat people and get away with it forever. If you have that much intelligence you should use it in a productive way and not take advantage of people to make a living. It is sad.

This company presents itself as official IRS, not third-partyI was linked directly to their form from another websiteI filled out all of the info, including my SSN and clicked 'continue.'
Luckily, I knew already an EIN should be FREE, not $197! I did not give my CC info, but now feel very paranoid that they have my SSN, and the site's privacy policy is less than re-assurring, as it does not included the SSN under the 'gathered information' that is protected
Also, it's supposed to "save time." Filing for an EIN online with the actuall IRS gov site takes no time at allThis is a scam, not a time saver

This is crap!!!! We thought we were on the IRS' website attempting to file for an EIN #After we submitted payment, not realizing the IRS will give you an EIN for free, now they won't answer their phone or call me backVery pissed! I am in the process of pushing my complaint to the limit with authoritiesAlthough now I am reading they have fine print at the bottom, they are posing as the IRS.....ILLEGAL!!!
