Sell of faulty new 2014 vehicle When car first purchased had to return for bubble In tint and had no antennae on car. While driving to work at four thirty in the am all lights came on , brake light, oil light, gas light, and defrost stopped working . We asked to be seen immediately because of fear of something electronically happening to car and they told us they couldn't see it till two says later . We wouldn't drive the car and they told us it would be ok. Then we took it in that afternoon and they recreates the incident and claimed it was a loose plug during transportation and it was repaired we left dealership in only less than an hour all lights again and no air conditioner working . They said bring it back we said no, you can pick it up we are not driving it. They kept the car for seven days without communication and told us they couldn't find anything wrong. We only want out money back and not accepting a new vehicle that is faulty . There have been deaths on recalls of vehicles because of faulty equipment and they can't find what's wrong . This is a 2014 car. The sales manager and service manager refuse to listen to us and are trying to make us keep a faulty vehicle .Desired Settlement1000.00 Business Response /[redacted]/The vehicle is performing to manufactures specifications and we have driven the car a total of 88 miles and have not been able to duplicate the clients concern and have also communicated with the factory as well. The customer has been in one of our loaners so as not cause any inconvenience during this time. We did make a payment on the vehicle for the customer for the time that we did have the car to address the issues. We will be glad address any other concerns that arise in the future while the vehicle is under its factory warranty.

Vehicle purchased was never registered with DMV and a safety state inspection was never done until 2+ months later. On 07-04-15, we traded in our 2007 Hyundai Veracruz for a 2011 Dodge Calibur through Hendrick Kia. (We wanted a plate transfer. Not a new plate & was told "no problem at all".)We received a phone call on 09-02-15 from Hendrick Kia, stating that our vehicle was never inspected because it "fell through the cracks". On 09-03-15 I had to bring our Dodge Calibur back to the dealership for state inspection. I was told that we were "all set" with the DMV. They now have our inspection information. On 09-12-15, my family & I were pulled over by the Cary Police because our license plate showed it belonged to a Hyundai Veracruz on a expired registration. We explained to the officer what happened & although we did not have any purchase/transfer paperwork, we did still have the state inspection receipt from 09-03-15 which the officer said was ok for proof. We did NOT realize that our vehicle was never registered to begin with!!! So we have been driving an unregistered vehicle all this time. The police officer emphasized the need to make sure the dealership gets our registration fixed, which we promised to do asap.I called & left detailed messages & then finally spoke with [redacted] (Finance Director who helped us with our loan)on 09-15-05 & told him what had happened. When asked "why our car was never registered" he replied "Im not sure. This fell through the cracks". Same excuse for not having our car inspected! He told me that he gave the message to the title clerk, who then gave the info to the DMV.Today, 09-17-15, I went to pick up our registration & was handed a NEW PLATE.Confused, I asked what this was for & what happened to the plate transfer & was told by a salesman who happened to walk by that because our current license plate had expired...they had no choice but to order a NEW plate for the registration.I asked why does the registration say "Plate valid thru 11-30-15" & was told the above. This wouldn't be a big deal, except now we have until 11-30-15 to pay a property tax on the Dodge Calibur in the amount of $139.50!!!Because the dealership did not do their job & have our vehicle registered to begin with, we wouldn't have to pay $139.50. This whole mess is THEIR mistake. Not only did they make one big mistake of not inspecting our car before we drove off the lot on 07-04...they never registered our car!Desired SettlementWe would like for Hendrick Kia to pay the property tax we now owe due to their mistake in the amount of $139.50. (Or send us a check so that we can pay it by 11-30-15)They are responsible for this mess. Not us.Business Response /[redacted]/I called the client and explained the way NC property tax works. He recently moved here from MA and was not familiar with our property tax process. He understands that he was unable to transfer his tag because it was expired and realizes that he would have had to pay property tax to transfer his tag as well. He appreciated my call and is no longer upset with us. Consumer Response /[redacted]/I did speak with the dealership, however they still fail to admit that the reason why our tag was unable to be transferred due to expiration is because when they finally tried registering our car (2 months later), it was too late.Had our tag been transferred like requested when we purchased the car, there wouldn't have been any issues. As for property tax, that's fine. We weren't told we'd have to pay it soon after our purchase. We just want them to be held accountable for their very, very poor actions to their customers. We figured this is the least they can do.

We purchased a vehicle on Feb 12th and don't have tags that we paid for in April. My husband and I purchased a 2013 Dodge Avenger from Hendrick Kia and Pre-Owned of Cary NC. We were told it would take 30 days to obtain tags and a license plate which we paid for in the doc fees. As of March 14th when we still had not received our tags and plate I called the business and left a message for the titling department. I was called back and a message was left for me stating that the tags were still processing at the DMV. Further follow up was difficult as the company was slow to respond. It was near the end of March and there were still no tags for the vehicle. We were told once again they did not have them. Finally at the end of March I was told that the vehicle was not eligible for registration because it had not been inspected since December 0f 2013. We were sold the vehicle in February of 2015 meaning the vehicle had not been inspected or registered to the current dealership. The week of April 3rd we experienced various delays with the DMV providing the tags after we we brought the vehicle to the dealership to have it inspected. This should have been done before our purchase. On April 2nd we were supplied a rental car as we stated that we did not want to be legally liable for an unregistered vehicle through no fault of our own. We at the time purchased the insurance as we were told that if we did not our insurance deductible would be charged in the event of an accident. We would not have had the rental vehicle if our car had been properly inspected and registered by the dealership. To that end my husband asked that they pay the roughly 100 dollar rental insurance that we paid until our car was available again. The dealership has refused. We have been understanding up until this point. However I do not believe I should be forced to pay over 100 dollars for insurance on a vehicle that I only have because of the organizations mistake.Desired SettlementI would like the dealership to either refund part of the doc fee or pay for the insurance on the rental vehicle as requested.Business Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted], GMContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@hendrickauto.comWe are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused with the inspection of the vehicle. We will issue a refund today for the insurance charges on the rental vehicle. If I can be of any further assistance please feel free to give me a call.

Was sold a car without the navigation system as listed in all sales material and was told that it hadPurchased a used car from hendrick kia and was told that it had a navigation system. After having the car for less than 24 hours I noticed that it did not have the advertised system. called the sales rep and was told that I would need to talk to the sales mgr, [redacted]. I drove up to the dealership to speak with him and when I mentioned my problem was threatened with "voluntary repossession" and was then told "Mr [redacted], you're over 18 and signed for delivery so tough [redacted]. You can leave or I can have your car repo'd"Desired SettlementI would like the advertised navigation installed as promised in all available sales docs by the dealershipBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] GSMContact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@hendrickauto.comThe customer was aware that the vehicle did not have navigation, as he test drove the vehicle prior to purchasing. Prior to completing the deal, our finance manager asked the client if the vehicle had navigation in order to discover which type of warranty coverage was most beneficial, and the client confirmed that the vehicle did not have navigation. There are disclaimers on our online vehicle listings that state "It is the customer's sole responsibility to verify the existence and condition of any equipment listed. Neither the dealership nor Hendrick Automotive Group is responsible for misprints on prices or equipment" to help avoid these types of issues. We have offered to exchange the vehicle for the client but he declined to do so. Our offer to exchange the vehicle still stands. Please let me know if I can assist in any other way.Consumer Response No, exchange was ever discussed. I would gladly take the exchange.Final Business Response We are in contact with the customer to discuss options for exchange. We are confident we will come to a mutually agreeable conclusion this week. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Hendrick Kia has attempted to fix the situation by asking me to pay a reduced price to have the navigation system installed. They also told me that I am able to trade my current vehicle in for another vehicle that they have. However, they do not have anything that is worth trading in for.

My truck is still not registered. It's been two months! Can never get a hold of them or get a call back. They say they've contacted me but never have!I purchased my 2008 [redacted] from the Cary Auto Mall on October 17th 2015. I have yet to receive my registration from them. Everytime I call I either don't get an answer or somebody says they will call me right back. Then I just got an email on what I need to send them to get it registered. In that same email it says they have tried to contact me and I may have to pay late fees for the registration. I've never had a missed call or email from them. Now I try to contact them back and ask what things they need to register it and they won't answer my emails or calls! I'm paying 300$ plus 110$ in insurance a month for a vehicle I can't drive! I need this resolved immediately!!Desired SettlementI just want my vehicle registered. I want to be able to drive my truck! Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]I spoke with the customer in depth today in regards to the delay in registering his vehicle in NY. The state of NY is owed an additional $667.48 in sales tax as the initial amount collected was insufficient. I am communicating with the customer to resolve the tax issue.
