also ·needed to grind all the large roots.When he let us know that the work was completed, we proceeded with doing our work. We decided to use our bobcat to remove the lawn, as we only had to strip out 4 to 6 inches of lawn and dirt.When we started to strip out the lawn areas to install the stone, we encountered large roots; some as large as 12 inches around. We now had to bring in a backhoe to excavate the roots and to remove them off the site.We completed the excavation and removal of the roots which cost us more than anticipated, but we never charged him the extra cost.At no time, did he inform me or my father, who was also on the job site and who has been in this business for 50 years and myself 30 years, that there was a wire in the ground. Then if so, he should have staked it out or located the wire.We completed the work of paving the lawn area and Mr. [redacted] paid us for our work After a few days after the completion of our work, we received a call on our answering machine from Mr. [redacted]. We returned his call the same day.He said that he had no electric in his garage and we went right out to his house, also the same day. We explained to him that we did not see any wires when we excavated the roots In closing, we take no responsibility for the wire in the ground. If anything.he owes us for the extra work that we did.
