The no returns and no refunds is in our policies section on our website. The item was initially refused because the proposed resolution was a refund. If you send it back for corrections it will be accepted. Please send the item back and I will gladly remove any remaining ink stains from the product upon receipt and return it promptly. But we will not offer a refund on a non defective item. I understand you feel the item is defective and I am willing to correct the defect and send it back to you as a whole complete product without the ink defect. I can fix this problem upon arrival and have it back to you promptly.

"Client ordered a Greek key style ribbon trim roman shade on 12/4/2013. The item shipped on 2/3/2014 via USPS priority mail and was received on 2/5/2015. Product was shipped promptly upon completion.
At Window Treatments by Melissa we use a product called Dritz Disappearing Ink Pen. Details...

about the product can be viewed on the Dritz website here [redacted]
This product is used to draw the Greek key shape onto the fabric and then the ribbon is sewn where the pattern was drawn. Dritz claims the marker disappears in 2-3 days, but in our experience with the product (15 years) this has not proved to be true on items with a canvas base. It takes 7-10 days to disappear from canvas. But it does, in fact, disappear. Client was notified of this and was told that if she didn't want to wait the ten days that the marker does go away immediately if a damp cloth of fresh water is lightly dabbed on the product. Client informed WTbM she was not interested in waiting and advised WTbM to take corrective action to satisfy her unhappiness with having to wait for the product to disappear. Client was notified by WTbM that refunds cannot be offered on items that are not defective. Client then threatened to send the item back in exchange for a refund. Client was informed that sending back a non defective item would not result in a refund. Thus, the item was refused upon receipt.
WTbM has made thousands of window treatments using the Dritz product. It is used not only on the Greek key style, but also marks where the hem is sewn on all the window treatments we produce. The ink has always disappeared. We have been using the same canvas and ribbon that made client's shade for three and a half years. WTbM has never had a complaint about the ink not disappearing."
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I remain wholly unsatisfied with the product and believe that it is defective as the ink stains remain on the fabric.  Never once did the company state that at refund was not available, as the owner claims in the response to my complaint.  I attach the entire thread of communications with the company below for your referrence:
I have not responded because none of this is necessary. The ink will go away. You just need to wait. I do appreciate you bringing this to my attention. But I know it will go away. I have been using this product for almost 15 years and while some people do notice it upon receipt of the item, I have never heard back from them after explaining what the product is because it goes away.

It has now been a week and no response.  Very disappointing service.  I am returning the product today via priority mail to the address on the original shipping label.  I expect a full refund as soon as this is received.  A response to this e-mail would be both appreciated and professional.

There has been very little progress, at least not to my satisfaction.  At this point I will be returning the window treatment for a full refund.  Please reply with a return authorization, return address and method of refund.

It will go away. Sorry, I guess I sent it to soon. But whether I held on to it till it went away or you wait now there would have been some waiting. I apologize. I have been using this product for 15 years. It goes away.

Some of the marker is under the ribbon and showing through so that I cannot use a wash cloth on it.

Hi-
Just wanted to let you know that the ink marks have still not gone away and I received the shade a week ago. I am willing to wait another day, but I really do feel that I have waited long enough for it to fix itself, don't you?

Oh! I'm sorry I didn't warm you ahead if time. We use disappearing ink pens to mark the pattern placement. Those should be gone in a day it two. I'm so sorry I forgot to warn you. You can also wipe them off with a lightly damp cloth. But they will be gone in a day or two. I'm so sorry to have worried you. Try a damp cloth if it's bothering you right now. Otherwise a day or two of time will do it.

I received the window treatment in the mail today and was pleased until I took it out of the box. There are ink and other marks all over the fabric. There are purple lines under the ribbon which are completely obvious when you hold it up. I can't believe that it was even sent out to me like this. I am so disappointed in the quality of your product. I will be happy to send you pictures. I don't even want this redone. You can credit me the full amount back.
