A) Drywall work: Instead of removing old sheetrock and replacing with new sheetrock, contractor set new sheetrock on top of old / damaged sheetrock afterAGREEING to REPLACE and being reminded explicitly NOT to set new sheetrock on top of old sheetrockB) Refinishing Wood Floors: Did not sand wood floors enough to remove old finishFinish comes off with tape, fingernail scratching, every day wearFurthermore, they finished wood floors with a product made to stain and finish in a single coat NOT meant to be used on floors as stated on product labe (product intended for furniture)The finish is coming off with wear from a baby's walkerWhen questioned about decision to use product, N.O.E*** (owner) stated that they use it on their projects on a basisC) Wood Fence: They were instructed to quote the building of a fence just like a house on same blockWhen erecting the fence, they did not use planks of same type or size as fence they supposedly quoted me; they used shorter and cheaper wood2) They do not subcintract work/ services, all work (drywall, outside fence, painting, floor refinishing, etc) is done by same couple of workers with E.L.OY***(N.O.E.'s father) as the supervisor who visits site from time to time to bring materials, give instructionsWas only able to witness the issues noted above because I was on site for a week after which they were terminated
