The e-mail chat was the first contact.  It does not disclose all the facts.
I subsequently telephoned into the Nashbar Customer Service 800 number to inquire about the purchase.  Nashbar has aggressive online marketing where it makes promises to customers that they offer special savings and discounts on bicycle products.  Therefore, I specifically requested the following criteria to be approved by a Supervisor, specifically: 
(1.) 35% off the list price of the Nashbar Duro Comp Road Tire, 700 x 23C, all black, wire bead. 2-3 units based on discount.  Model #NT-DURC.
(2.) Free shipping.
(3.) Any other savings.
Nashbar is an internet company.  Nashbar proceeded to access an incorrect calculation on Sales Tax for the State of California which is 9.25%.  There assessment was for 12%, because a computer does the math, and their workers don't have the ability to calculate correct numbers.  Customer should not be expected to pay for calculation errors and math deficiencies of staff.  Furthermore, this is an internet retailer that sells across all 50 states and foreign countries.  Nashbar is not domiciled in the California Republic and should not access a sales tax because it is not operating a business in this jurisdiction. A basic business principle is that customer's needs come first.  Nashbar has not been honoring my requests for specific products and pricing. 
I want to repeat and have it understood that followup conversations took place and that the customer criterias were ignored, and there was miscalculation of sales tax, all which willfully, with intent, are put in place to inflate the total due to Nashbar, rather than SAVE the customer money and deliver value.  Nashbar needs to be honest and come to an understanding about how it wants to treat its customers, and what value it has for its customers.
I have repeatedly asked for a Supervisor approval to make this sale.

your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As you can plainly see from attached materials, the original price match issue raised in the instant Revdex.com complaint is not a "promotion" as their representative Sandie Blevins falsely claims in her business reply, dated January 27, 2015.  It is a policy!Additionally, you can plainly see the separate forwarded "free shipping" offer that was originally addressed within complaint (and  which was in effect during pre-sales customer service inquiries, clearly appears to be contingent on the amount of the purchase of $49.00 only.  In contrast, Sandie Blevins makes a frivolous claim that this consumer attempted to use "multiple promotional offers," which again is patently false, misleading and untrue!   See Business Reply, dated January 27, 2015.  There is nothing fair, reasonable nor credible that has been provided by this business and its representatives.Since this Sandie Blevin's and her representatives will likely fail to employ honest business practices as highlighted above - a clear showing "bad faith" - arbitration is respectful requested along with amended  prospective relief of $3500 award.  Thank you.  Regards,Michael West
