Harmony Park Apartments Reviews (2)

Im currently a new resident at harmony Park Townhome. I signed my lease on may 18th 2015,it is now its June 22,2015 and I still haven't moved in my apartment yet the apartment is not move in ready and as a new resident I would think these things would have already been resolved after I paid my rent a month ahead. We did a walk through after I signed my lease and I stated the problems that was wrong thinking they would be on top of it... the air doesn't work, the dish washer doesn't work and the bathroom lights dosent work as well, and in my kitchen I have closet doors siting there for some reason that need to be put up that should have been done already it also needs to be cleaned as well. I call everyday trying to get these issues resolved saying they would be on top of it yet its nothing still has been done. They stated to me that I would have to move my things in first before they can even come out to fix my air and its like 100 degrees outside who wants to sit in a hot apartment until they fix the air and they still haven't fixed the other problems. I have a daughter and I refuse to move in with so many problems that has not been resolved. If I pay rent I dont think it matters if I move my things in or not im not goin to pay for something that im not goin to occupy. Ive been tryin to get in contact with corporate to see what can I do but nothing has been done.By me being a new resident this really looks bad on them and I refuse to move in an apartment with no air etc.thats not move in ready this is ridiculous.Desired SettlementI would like for them to finish this matter or refund me my money its been too long and this should have been done. When I signed the lease they should have followed their end of the bargain my rent is paid so apparently im occupying the unit.regardless of what I move in or not that doesn't make sense.

It is not liveable and have plumbing issues and infestations.Raccoons living in vacant apts becasue of broke window and garbage.I have filed complaints to manager and she refuse to fix my toilet, I had toget a hotel for me and my child. Its infested with roaches, broken windows, unclean apartments, rats and maintenance issues that are not being addressed. Manager refuse to honor termination of lease and retaliating because I reported her to the health department. She put a notice on my door because I havent paid the rent due to me and my daughter unable to live in the apartment due to infestation and feces in the toilet and urine. She refuse to clean the apartment next door to me ewhere the raccoons and cats living out of, because theres old food and nets inside the apartment. She evict and throw out everybody elses things, however because the apartment is next door to me she refuse to clean it. It smells like someone died and horrible spoiled food.Sh estated if rent not paid by 10/10 she will file legal action, she file on me before the 10,because she is retaliating against me and from my understanding some people havent paid in months and I only havent paid this month. She is real unprofessional and refuse to have things fixed.Desired SettlementI want the lease terminated and not owe due to unlivable conditions and plumbing problems. She can keep the deposit for this month rent and I should not owe for remianing of lease.Business Response Our lease agreement states that rent is due on the 1st of the each month. We give a grace period through the 5th of the month and a late fee is applied as of the 6th of the month. However we may file eviction after the 1st at any time. This tenant has complained to the local Health Department. If the Health Department found any issues they would have given documentation and a deadline for us to correct the issue(s) and conducted a follow up to make sure we've made all notated corrections. However, the Health Department has refused to come back to her unit due to her erroneous claims. Our lease agreement also states that if you are evicted or skip out owing a balance your deposit will be applied to that balance, in addition to any fee's derived from damages to the unit. The claimant has been turned over to the courts for eviction for non-payment of rent. She will not receive any portion of her deposit, due to her outstanding balance and fees. As of today our complex is at an 88% occupancy rate and we have happy residents who do their part as we continue to do ours! Thank you,Harmony Park Apartments and TownhomesConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The Health Dept advised me that someone has to be home in order to see the living conditions, I can't miss work. If they would have let them in they would have saw the toilet doesn't work, leaks under sink, growing mole, and infestation. I agreed for them to keep deposit and break lease, I was not trying to get it back. However, if occupancy was at 85%, it must be toward the front of the apartments, because my building is just about vacant. The tenants I have met even said they have mole growing in their apartment as well, that is not a good living environment, no matter how they put it. My balance is 88.00 I dont owe anything more accrding to the judge.I don't have an outstanding balance if I did they wouldve been filed.
