Empire BlueCross BlueShield has kept my insurance premium since 2/2/without giving me the coverage I have paid forThey promise that they are considering my problem but no one ever calls me backI will stipulate that the genesis of the problem is my own fault, I has days late with my premiumHowever, in my defense, other accounts get a grace period Empire BCBS refuses to honor a grace period for meI have attempted to speak with them several times and have ascertained that my fate rests with the Retention Deptbut no one will allow me to speak with any one in that departmentI have paid for service from 2/1/and they accepted my money without giving me service

The worst company to deal with, extremely frustrating give my premium is $a month but service is not provided for the amount of money I payNever again will I ever do business with themThey are too big and unorganizedAll over the placeGives American companies a bad reputation

Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield has a non-functioning website which shows their contempt for their customersThe "find a doctor" option does not work: none of the information is curretn or accurate, and if you do find a doctor and try to enter them in as your primary physician, the site makes it nearly impossible, changing that desgination evry time you visitYou canlt change your personal information on the site, you have to make a phone call, usually taking at least minutesThey treat the consumer extremely badly

I am an in-network provider for Empire BCBSOn 11/**/I completed and faxed a Wform to change my office location, as instructed via telephone with Provider ServicesI waited days for processing, submitted my next claim, and claim was denied, citing discrepancy with addressI called Provider Services to inquire, was informed that my paperwork was completed appropriately, but that there was a typographical error made by the Provider Registry when entering my information in the computerI was informed this issue would be resolved within two weeks, and asked not to submit any more claims until resolution confirmedI have contacted Provider Services a total of nine times, each call lasting 45-minutes, and have been repeatedly informed that this inquiry is still open, with no time frame for resolution or explanation for delayI have continued to see my patients weekly, and currently have thousands of dollars in claims yet to be submittedThough through no fault of my own,

This company was a previous insurance of a company I used to work forNow I that I have switched my insurance provider, I get continuous calls a day from this company with solicitation callsI've added my number to the 'Do Not Call' list and they still continue to callIf they do not cease I will be filing a suit against this company for harassment

Provider customer service for figuring out details on a recoupment for bulk payment received was horrendousRepresentative kept redirecting me to Availty website which was just as uselessIn most cases, when speaking on the phone, you just keep getting reroutedOr minutes into the phone call, it matters what state you're calling fromNightmare

Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield still has not processed a claim for a visit I made to a doctor in mid-August of (it is now early 2018) A few months back, another doctor prescribed a cortisone ointment for me, which I was unable to have filled for several days because Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield would not approve the prescription I don't know what's going on there My doctors office (the August visit) had to put me on hold because they were dealing with Empire Blue Cross problems with regard to yet another of their patients This seems to be an ongoing problem with this insurance company Both Customer Services and Provider Services would not give a straight answer to me or my doctor's office when asked why these problems were occurring

Empire Blue Cross canceled my health insurance coverage in June without notice and will not reinstate itMy credit card was closed because of fraud and Empire did not receive the automatic payment Empire insists I go through the marketplace to resolve thisThe marketplace should have been notified and knows something went wrong because they were notThe marketplace claims they are not a billing department and cannot reinstate meEmpire says that I have to go through the marketplace because that's how I originally enrolledEmpire states they are waiting for a form from the marketplace so they can proceed and it could take monthsAs of now, I have no health insurance

Through the NY Health MarketPlace, I chose Empire BlueCross BlueShield as my health insurance company in For 2016, I chose a different health insurance company through NY Health Marketplace On the Marketplace website, I am enrolled in the new health insurance company's plan There is a Disenrollment Notice and a Cancellation Notice for my old health plan I did not owe money for my plan Despite this, Empire BlueCross BlueShield withdrew money from my bank account in January Different Customer Service representatives responded to each of my complaints to BlueCross BlueShield The representatives claim that I am still on their plan I have told them directly that I am not on that plan and provided copies of the Disenrollment Notice and Cancellation Notice to no avail

I called to speak to customer service about my monthly automatic withdrawal for billingWhen my call was answered I realized I was NOT speaking to someone from the United States due to her lack of experience and me barely understanding her accentI asked to speak with an American representative and was told I would be transferredSeveral times transferred and a representative never picked upI still have not gotten my questions answered nor can I get thru to anyone
It is a real shame to call about my "Obama Care" health insurance and then realize this company outsources employment to other countries to answer my calls/questionsMany Americans need jobs and its sad a company such as Empire Blue- One of the LARGEST health insurance companies has provided employment outside the US, not to mention the poor customer service received as a result of doing so

Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield is one of the most corrupt, mismanaged organizations I've ever had to deal withTheir website is down at this moment, a few days before open enrollment closesThey're sending me emails telling me to call a non-working number for assistanceTheir website claims their call center is open till (it closes at 7)Their "find a doctor" function is completely useless, it hasn't been updated in years and most doctors have moved or changed plansTheir partner, Express Scripts, is similarly corrupt and bunglingEvery dealing with these is takes hours of frustrationThey are not putting the huge fees they get back into their business, they are pocketing it

This company has approved numerous claims for my mother's cancer treatment, just to refuse to pay them anywayThey claim to have no record of approval numbers that they have given me over the phone and through emailThis has been going on over a year, and now they are claiming that the reason they can't find the claim approvals is because it has been over a yearThey have basically been dragging this out, hoping (I assume) that we will just go awayIn the meantime their premiums are astronomical

I have been trying to resolve an issue for months with Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield of New YorkI work at this hours per week Not one person at the company can or will help me I am desperate to get someone to help me I am owed thousands of dollars for services rendered to one of their members I have submitted many grievances, as the family of the child I work with has, and have about references from various people who tell me they will follow up on things NOT ONE PERSON has helped me and the company has caused a lot of harm to my patient, their member and to my company I honestly believe that it's not the individual people who finally talk to me not the telephone or via email, but the company set up The company is designed to not pay for services rendered to their members and covered by their members policies Please help me if you know how to contact someone who can help and resolve issues related to claims processing at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield of New York Thank you

I had an implant scheduled to be inserted 4/**/ I called the facility to be sure they participated and that the procedure would be covered They do participate and was told if this implant was done in the cath lab it would be a covered service Unbeknownst to me, the hospital also called for pre auth and was told the same thing A few weeks after the procedure I receive a denial I have been appealing this decision ever since They are claiming it is experimental I don't know how a subscriber (and the provider)can be told services are covered and then claim that they are not I personally did my due diligence and now am suffering The insurance is paying the monthly charges to track the device, but not the insertion! That doesn't even make sense Either its covered or its not I have received today information from the hospitals patient financial department names of people at both BCBS and UHC that told them no authorization was needed
