Review: In early June, I contracted to have a [redacted] installed at my home by Hale's Electrical. The generator was installed in July and after umpteen service calls, I am still not sure it is working properly. One technician complained constantly about my pets, especially the cat (we live on a farm.) The generator problems were never the fault of Hale's, they were always the other guy's fault. They would tell me to contact the gas company, (even though I know nothing about generator installation,)and tell them what they should do. I was the go-between for Hale's and the gas company. I finally had to get my county building inspector involved. On August 1, 2013(yes, August..almost 2 months since I contracted with Hale's), their technician [redacted] came to my house. He said the generator was working properly. [redacted], left my home and as he did, he hit and killed my 18 year old cat who was walking across my driveway near my house. It was a hit and run..he never even stopped. When I called Hale's to inform them, again, there was the "not my fault" "who cares" attitude. Well, whose fault was it? I never even got an "I'm sorry" from anyone at Hale's. They became uncaring and offensive. [redacted] was uncaring and mean and argumentative. I cannot deal with this company again. By the way, I got several "I'm sorry" from the gas company.Desired Settlement: I do not want this generator. It has been nothing but trouble..we don't even know if it works properly. It was suggested that it was a "bad" generator and the whole unit needed to be replaced. It continually reminds me and my family of the day [redacted] hit my cat([redacted])and left him to die in my driveway. I know you will understand. He may have been "just a cat" to the Hale's and their employee [redacted], but after 18 years, [redacted] was more than "just a cat" to us and did not deserve to die this way.
