bumper cover. Tanners Paint and body was owned by Tanner LLC at the time of the original repair work to Mr. [redacted] 2005 Ford Mustang GT. Currently Tanners Paint and Body is owned by JT&A Collision Inc. Tanner LLC has an agreement with JT&A Collision Inc to cover any warranty items that may arise from previous repairs.
Mr. [redacted] presented his bumper cover claiming to have faulty paint work competed. I advised if there is an issued I would be happy to help resolve the situation. After inspecting the front bumper cover with the failing paint work it was discovered that the vehicle had been involved in a collision and the front bumper was damaged which has caused the paint to crack and fail. The bumper cover is torn on the bottom and would have sustained significant stress to cause this damage. Tanners Paint and Body has advised Mr. [redacted] we would repair and repaint the bumper for a significant discount to try and resolve the situation. In the current state to repair and repaint his bumper we quoted $713.01 at full cost, but would complete them for him at $400.00. He stated that amount is what he paid originally and wanted it repaired for less. I advised we would have to repair all the crash damage and prime and repait the bumper which is significantly more labor intensive and would require more time to complete. Mr [redacted] then stated he will call his attorney and the Revdex.com to proceed and left the premises. We at Tanners Paint and Body will still complete the repairs to his bumper cover for $400.00, and will be happy to do so. We have pictures of the front bumper cover showing the damages to the part and would be happy to review with any party.

The dispute is about the paint flaking off from the "WHOLE" bumper. they are small areas all over the bumper. The " collision " is a small half inch crack that did have paint flaking off. However this is not what the issue is about. the issue is that the paint was applied incorrectly and Tanner's own paint man agreed that the bumper was incorrectly painted. NO discount was applied, after I received my bumper back I drove around Springfield and acquired several quote from XXX-XXX dollars to repair and repaint the bumper. I had the bumper repainted for a total of 400.00 dollars from tanner's competitor. I believe that Tanner was not willing to cover the warranty on this issue. I will be filing a small claims action if this complaint can not be resolved.

Tanners Paint and Body wishes the customer to understand that we will warranty any paint failure due to material or application failure. Unfortunately due to the vehicle being physically damaged from a collision with an object, this is not covered under any warranty. Just as if a customer purchases a new vehicle and damages it due to a collision with an object, no warranty applies and must be either repaired under customer pay or turned into auto insurance. We are offering to repair all damages and repaint the bumper at a significant discount, of $400.00 instead of $713.01 written at full repair and paint times. I would like to again advise this was repaired under Tanner LLC, currently we are doing business as Tanners Paint and Body, and we have arrangements with Tanner LLC to be reimbursed for any warranty issues that may arise, but this does not include repairing damaged parts from a collision that would never be considered for warranty work, and does not leave us with a course of action to be reimbursed for the expense of returning the customers payment.
