H & J Auto Sales Reviews (1)

I was sold a 2003, 4 door, [redacted],serial No.[redacted], WITH 92,528 MILES. When talking to the dealer, he stated to me that this is a good car in mint condition, he even popped the hood to show how clean the cover that covered all the items under the hood was. I only had the car 1 day when I discovered that the windshield was cracked, I took it to the man to see if he could put glue on it to keep it from running. Mr. [redacted], the [redacted] smelt anti freeze, when he lifted the hood, he discovered that the coolant recovery reservoir was cracked and leaking anti-freeze. He sent me to a mechanic who told me to go back to the dealership and let them order the part. The next day I called the dealer, the dealer stated that he will order the part. When I didn't hear anything back from the dealer, I called him and he said, he ordered the wrong part, and next time I called the dealer, he said he had to send the part back, and I felt as if the dealer was giving me the run around. I decided to call [redacted], the lenders, and asked them if they could fix the car for me and add it to my car payment since I had only had the car about 8 days. They told me they could not help me. I then called back to the dealer only to hear the same story about the part not delivered yet. I decided to take the car to [redacted] and had them to put the car on the machine and did a multi-point inspection report on the car. There they gave the car a thorough check, finding the following: -Transmission belt slipping during test drive. Also felt harsh down shifts. Witnessed "whoop" noise from transmission during down shifts as well. Pulled codes and found [redacted] stored for gear load 4-5 incorrect indicating a transmission mechanical failure. Witnessed surging in overdrive indicating that torque convertor is starting to fail as well. Checked fluid level and found it only slightly low and not low enough to cause the fault. Recommend replacing transmission and torque convertor. New fluid as well as ZF conditioning additive recommended by [redacted]. Pan gasket and connector sleeve replacement recommended if sourcing a used transmission. TCM software updates also likely available. Check history for TCM updates beyond 2004.-Quoted $14,813 for a new transmission, torque converter, and assoc parts. $12,154 for a remanufactured trans, and $7388 to replace trans with used (APPX 91K Miles.)-Road tested vehicle and witnessed noise from front suspension. Observed noise on lift and found extensive damage a front LH vertical link joints. Also found both tie rod ends worn out and boots split allowing rocks and debris into joint. Recommend replacement of front LH vertical link and both outer tie rods. Used pry bar to test play in joints. Both front upper A-arms have some play at joints. - Transmission mount busted. Will send you paper copy of Multi-Point Inspection Report from [redacted], at your request.Product_Or_Service: [redacted]Account_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementMy desire is for them to pay the car off or take the car back and take it off my credit. I would also like for them to either give me my trade-in back or the value of what they allowed me for it
