H & H Quality Consignemtn

Review: My sister and I were shopping at the H & H Quality Consignment store in Flagler Beach, FL. My sister, [redacted], has shopped there several times and has items on consignment there. My sister wanted to purchase a table and two chairs for her new house and I agreed to put a deposit of $50 (as discussed with the owner [redacted] Mailer). The owner rang up the purchase for the full amount - instead of the deposit only - and had me sign the credit card slip. I told her that I was not paying for the whole purchase, only the deposit. She told me that she did not know how to credit back money on her credit card machine. (My sister agreed to pay me the full amount right away). The credit card charge hit my account three days later. Two days after the purchase, my sister changed her mind and told the store owner that she did not want the table and chairs and not to deliver it. I asked for the total of $298.53 to be credited back to me, and again, she told me she didn't know how, to go through my credit card company and dispute it. I am currently doing that, but it can take up to 90 days. I called the owner, [redacted] on Monday July 21st and asked her if we could take care of this credit ourselves by her writing me a check. She said she would and for me to go to the store today (July 23). I went to the store and she told me that she could not write me a check, to just wait for the credit card company to resolve it. It would have been so much easier for her to just credit back the amount to my credit card at the time, but she procrastinated, and said she didn't know how to do it. Now, I was told today, that if the credit card company doesn't resolve it she would only give me a store credit. I do not need a store credit, I'm trying to get rid of some of the things I own now. I would appreciate any assistance you could offer into getting this resolved. I am retired and really need to have that money back into my account.
