In response to your letter of November 16, case no [redacted] In August H & A towed the said vehicle to our shop and did work to the vehicle per the customerIt is our policy that all vehicles worked on at our shop if something goes wrong with the work/or part that the vehicle be returned to us so we may diagnose the problem and depending on the manufacture warranty fix/or replace the partWe give invoices as to what was done to the vehicle to our customersHowever we do not hand out our VENDOR invoices On November hI responded to Mrs [redacted] and asked she bring the vehicle by the shop so I could diagnose the problemAgain on .November lih, I stated she should bring the vehicle by the shop and again on November 13th but we DO NOT HAND OUT OUR VENDOR INVOICES I am more than happy and willing to work with Mrs [redacted] to resolve this problem

As I stated in the complaint, we live a little over an hour awayI also stated that in the text message that you can see from H&A responseA part just needed to be swapped outWe have been lied to as I can get the part for 3/of the price from the dealer and replace which I have already had to do because they will not send me the invoice for the partDustin specifically told me that I would only pay his cost on parts when we agreed to have the work doneThen later he claimed to only charge us a 10% mark upThat is also untrue as the prices are marked up between 20-35% from dealer prices and I do not believe he received all the parts from the dealerI will not be taking my vehicle back to someone who has lied to me and will not help get my vehicle fixed when driving it an hour to him is out of the questionWe were never notified of any policy whatsoever that states "if something goes wrong with the work/or part that the vehicle be returned to us so we may diagnose the problem" until I questioned him for the validity of the receipt for parts

Review: Vehicle repairs were done to our vehicle while my husband was doing business around the location of this shop. Three months later, two of the new parts they installed have malfuntioned and are deemed defective. I contacted the [redacted], to get a copy of the receipts so we may swap out the part with the place he purchased it from since it is defective. He indicated to me in writing after the fact that he has to deem it defective for warranty to cover it. This is not truthful. I called every dealer in VA to verify this and every one told me if I brought the part and the receipt in they would swap it out. The only resolution given from [redacted] from H&A Automotive was that I needed to bring the vehicle to him and leave it with him to fix. I live an hour away from this business and that is not an option that we are able to do. It is a defective part, not defective work. I just want to swap the parts out for ones that work so my family can have heat in our vehicle which does not work right now and a tailgate that functions. The knob in the AC conrol unit he replaced is stripped and does not switch over from cool to heat. I am requesting a copy of the parts receipts from the parts provider or reimbursement for the parts that were paid for as I can prove they are faulty.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a copy of the parts receipts from the parts provider or reimbursement for the parts that were paid for as I can prove they are faulty.
