SCAM! Total crooks They are hustlers and thieves They low quote you, then charge you a ridiculous amount of money because they know you are in a tough spot After the technician left I noticed small valuables missing and called the Police The tech was no where to be reached They use an # to set up an appointment, then another guy calls you, then the crook shows up to rob you This company and all of it's employees should be locked up themselves!

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I am very surprised to hear about this incidentI wish that the customer would have contacted the office first in order to try and resolve this issue
I will speak to the technician to hear his side of the incident as well as speak to the
customer myselfI will make a decision based on those conversation and there is a very good chance that this technician will no longer represent our company in the futureWe put a strong emphasis on customer service and this type of behavior is not acceptable
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
1) I attempted to contact the business myself directly for assistance and they refused to return my calls or help
2) Look how long they took to respond to your inquiry
2) When I first contacted this group, I asked for the amount the whole job would be and was provided a quote that was MUCH lower than what they charged me. I included this in my first message to the Revdex.com
3) The contract employee this company hired to change the locks found out that I put in an inquiry with my credit card company and he called me and was VERY abusive on the phoneWhen I was able to calm him down a bit, he claimed he did not know that the company he contracted with gave inaccurate price quotesOf course, this gentleman NEVER reviewed pricing whatsoever with me., so I am not sure if he was being 100% truthful
4) Revdex.com contacted me several months back because of the number of complaints on this business to see if I wanted to talk to a reporter(I considered this but I had the work done for a friend and did not want her to know the trouble I had with this group)
5) If you look online, the reviews of this company are scathingAnd, frankly on this point, I blame myselfI normally research vendors before I use them but my friend needed immediate helpI would guess this need for immediate help is what happens to a lot of people and is why they are able to get away with these seriously sketchy business behaviors

we apologize for the long delay with the respond , we got the complain only...

About the prices that been told to all of our customers about Rekey locks its that we charge $29 service call to come out , and additional for the rekey START from $19 and can go up its deepens with the locks that the customers have…
We do apologize if the customer did not understand us when he called us.

First we apologize for the long delay with the respond we received it only...

now.
About charging the $100 that been charge by the tech its cause the tech was very close and almost there.
We do apologize that they needed to wait for long time, the tech was stuck in traffic and took him long time to arrive from different customer.

I was quoted a price range of $85 - 120 to re-key 2 locks at my house, but as long as the locks were in good condition they said it would be $85. When the technician arrived he said he was told by his manager that it was a flat rate of $55 per lock (so a total of $110). So I talked to the manager again and now he said the technician said the locks were in bad shape so it would be $120, even though the technician had never even looked at or tested the locks and never said they were in bad shape. I told the technician this and how I'm being told two different stories that don't match. The technician then tested the locks and said they were in good working condition. He told his manager this but the manager still would not agree to the $85 price that I was quoted on the phone. Very disappointing experience.

Review: Yesterday, Aug 05th 2014, my husband got off work at 5:30 PM, finding out the car initiate didn't work. He tried all means but just couldn't start the car. At around 7:30 PM, he found the phone number of an auto service company Green Locksmiths and called them for help.

At that time, my husband didn't have enough cash with him, so he asked Green Locksmiths to contact me for the payment. At 8:06 I received a phone call from Green Locksmiths, they asked me to fill out a credit card authorization form and to provide my ID copy. I did immediately as I worried about my husband very much. He had been in the parking lot for more than 2hrs, without food or water. And that wasn't a safe neighborhood to stay in. After Green Locksmiths received my authorization form and ID copy by email, the confirmed they would send out their technician immediately.

However, my husband waited in the car for 2 and a half hrs, no one had ever come from Green Locksmiths. We tried to contact the company and the technician. The technician always told us "Yes yes, I am on my way now". During this period, 3 police officers stopped by and tried to help start the car. But it didn't work.

Finally we couldn't stand this anymore. We decided to cancel the appointment and retrieve the payment as this seemed like a scheme. We called the company, they said you can cancel the appointment, but we are still going to charge you. Just like that, they charged us for $100 for nothing, even without an explanation.

We are very unhappy about this company and their service. We believe this is totally a credit card fraud. They took our money but did nothing for us.Desired Settlement: I need my money back, 100 dollars that they charged me on my credit card. At the same time, I want them to pay us back for our time loss at the parking lot, which is in total $300.00.

And I believe they should apologize to us for this issue and change the store policy of charging customers for nothing.

Review: I called this company because I got locked out of my car and needed to get to work. Over the phone the person who attended me told me that there would be a $29 dollar fee to get to me and that there would be a $49 fee if I cancelled the appointment I had just made. She said that the technician would get to me in about a half hour and would call in 15 minutes to confirm the address. I get a call a half hour later from the technician saying that he is just leaving. A half hour after that he tells me he is still a half hour away. It took him about two hours to get there. Once he was there he told me it would cost 29 for the fee and 135 for the labor. On the website there was no fee description and no estimated costs. Over the phone I tried to get an estimate but was only told $29 dollars. The total came out to $164 which was way over what I expected to pay. When it came to the charging the technician basically made a carbon copy of my debit card because he did not have a scanner. He has all the debit card info and I thought that was pretty shady.

Product_Or_Service: Car Lockout Service

Order_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: Billing Adjustment I would like for the company to reimburse some of the cost because I was charged more than I expected and was not really told what the fees entailed. The technician that came was also very hard to understand due to his accent. Although I do know he did not explain what the fee was for. He just wrote it and charged me. I would also like for them to get a much less shady way of taking payment with debit cards. Instead of taking all the info including the cvv number they should have a machine

Review: On friday April 26th, 2013, I made a call to Green locksmiths to inquire on an estimate for a specific service. When speaking to customer service, I was immediately asked for my personal information (name, contact number & address). Once I provided this information I proceeded to ask the customer service rep. for an estimate of labor cost to install an extra deadbolt for my entry door. The customer service rep. responded by saying she will need to contact one of her technicians and that the technician will give me a call back to provide me an estimate. Once I received the call from the technician, he asked e specifically for what type of services I was interested in getting done, I told him that I needed the cost for labor only to install an additional deadbolt and creating holes on door. The technician gave me an estimate that I believe is too high and decided not to contract green locksmiths for the work. Green locksmiths customer service, right after called me asking me to pay the cost of $35.00 dollars for having the technician giving me a call to provide an estimate. Then the customer service rep. threaten me by saying she was going to send me to collections. After disagreeing with the customer service rep. she continued telling me that green locksmiths is going to send me a letter the following week to collect their undeserved,, scams money for providing an estimate over the phone. The technician who called me never argued or mentioned that there will be a cost for providing an estimate over the phone nor the customer service rep.Desired Settlement: Green locksmith practice of charging for providing an estimate over the phone is not how a business should be making money. Also, threats to my credit report and character for not paying what the customer service rep. insisted should be reprimanded. Please have green locksmith customer service and management give me a call for settlement.

Response:

Dear Sir / Ma'am,

As the owner of this company, I can guarantee you that we never have, and never will charge for giving an estimate over the phone. The only time that we collect a fee is if the technician drives out to the customer in order to provide service as requested by the customer without performing any labor . Our service call fee is $29 and not $35 as the complaint indicates.

Mr [redacted] ended up going with a different company, which indicates that he had called several Locksmiths. I believe that a different company tried charging him this $35 charge that he is referring to. In case my tech would have went out to the Mr [redacted]'s property, we would attempt to collect a $29 service call fee. We had never sent a tech out, therefor we never charged Mr [redacted] anything.

Mr [redacted] did call us as indicated in the complaint letter, but was never charged a single penny. We have never forwarded his information to collection, and we do not plan on doing so.

We would like to have this complaint removed from our records.

Sincerely,

Review: I contacted Green Locksmith on 6/25 for a quote to rekey 3 locks for a friend of mine. (Her soon to be ex husband had stolen valuable items from her and I wanted her to be safe from additional theft). Green Locksmith quoted me a $29 service fee to show up and $19 per lock to be re-keyed. They mentioned the rekey per lock might be a little more IF the lock was complex. The technician did the work and did not mention any difficulty with the locks. He did not present me with an invoice and said he had to run to another appt so please just sign charge auth on his mobile device. I did and he entered my email address to send me a receipt. (NO amount was listed where I signed). I was quite shocked that I was billed $200 instead of $90.

I called immediately and was promised a call back by management today. No phone call had occurred by mid-day so I sent an email to recap why I was unhappy. No response.Desired Settlement: I would like $110 refunded to me.

I did not agree to pay $200 and that was NOT what I was quoted.

Review: My wife called for locksmith service due to a problem with front door lock. she agreed to have them come knowing the $29 service fee. When technician arrived I asked my wife to ask to speak to him over phone. He told me that he "opened the lock for free, 'so I can save you some money', but the $29 dollars would still be charged. he told me that there would be additional moneys charged up to $300 for replacement of a part. When I told him that that was too much money and I would replace the entire lock for that price, he disagreed and became upset and told me since I was not going to go along with replacing the lock he would have to charge me $129 more "for openening the lock". I told him to leave the premises- ghe refused, instead calling the company. I told him I felt threatened adn would call the police to settle this- he then left. My wife paid the $29. I think this company is involved in a bait in switch scheme- basically forcing people to pay extra for services they clearly do not want.Desired Settlement: apology and Revdex.com investigation
