Dear [redacted] ,I apologize for the lapse in communication that has occurred in your dealings with us here at Govberg This is not typical for us and I hope that I can resolve this issue quickly and amicably Unfortunately, there is little I can do regarding the estimate from [redacted] Vintage watches are often much more expensive to fix than modern era pieces and the price to fix them can often exceed the intrinsic value of the item but necessarily the sentimental value Much of the cost in the repair comes from the huge amount of labor required in the restoration of the watch My associate Lauren should have been more careful when quoting you a standardized factory price and taken into account the age of the watch in question I have gone back thru the notes and she did indeed quote you dollars for the factory shipping Due to the inconvenience that you have experienced, I will be crediting you the full $that you spent shipping the watch to the factory as well as the charge for shipping the watch back to you I hope that this works for you!
