I parked along the green fence the whole area note fire line on right and none on the left

On January 7, *** *** was towed from *** *** for not having a visible permit in her windowShe called early in the am very upset asking if her car had been towedI told that her car had been towed for not having a permitShe stated that she had a permit and that she "owned" the
Spot that she parks inI explained to her that even if she has a reserved spot that she is still required to display a permitI gave her the price and address of where her car was located.*** *** arrived to get her car; she continued to state that she "owned" the spot and that we (G& G) shouldn't have towed itI repeatedly explained that she was still required to have her permit and offered to look for the permit when I took her up to the lot together car.Once in the lot walked over to the car with *** ***, she opened her passenger side back door and stated "Oh, it fell off", she even made the same statement to the person who drove with her to the lotShe showed me the sticker and it was rolled up and was stuck to itself.Never once was rude or disrespectful to *** ***, I stated that I understood why she was upset and told her that it was impossible for the drivers to memorize every car and their spotI told her that it might be better to place the sticker in the front driver side windshield instead of the back passenger windowHer windows are tinted very dark and the sticker is burgundy in color making it very hard to see.G + G TowingCathie S***

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1. Their response is not an accurate description of the facts. The friend who drove me to the lot never got out of her car with her children, so how the G & G representative would know what was stated is a mystery. 2. I still have not received actual photographs of my cars "missing" decal. Which as previously stated I am in possession of & was displayed. The parking spot I was in is mine & was part of the sale of my condo. So again, having a permit & being parked in my spot allows for zero justification of a tow. 3. After talking with community members, it appears unwarranted towing is a staple in this companies business model & a frequent occurrence in this neighborhood.
4.  As mentioned in #2 I did not receive any photography regarding this matter. The sign displayed in their lobby indicated I was legally entitled to photographs. The G&G employee answering this complaint has once again ignored this issue as they did when I picked up my vehicle.

S[redacted]G&G Towing[redacted]

The Police impounded my car for being unregistered. I arrive to the tow lot on Saturday to pick up my belongings. They say the officer put a hold on the car. I got in contact with the officer he stated he never put a hold. He called G&G Towing directly to inform them I am authorized to pick up my belongings from the car. I arrive to G&G and they say I can't get my belongings. I call the officer once again, this time the officer is very upset with G&G and they told the officer I never told them the car I was there for and didn't show them my ID. Which is a lie, I informed them I was there for my belongings from my vehicle. The lady at the counter just went in the back and did not want to help us. She sent the tow truck driver to help us and he is very rude and does not know what customer service is. At the end of the day I have authorization from the officer to get my belongings but G&G Towing employees do not know what they are doing can't get it together.

Review: Tow company wrongful towed my car. When I requested information and verification on why my car was towed office employee Elisa became hostile with me and refused to assist me with my questions and concerns. When I agreed to make payment to receive my car after asking for management information she then walked away and said that she would not help me or take my money. Another woman than came from the back and began telling me the cost of tow fee in a hostile manner and told me I was being a bh and therefore they would too and she would not take my money she would call the police and they could handle it. I too called the police because I felt that I was in a hostile environment and needed reinforcement to rectify the situation. When the police arrived an hour and a half later I was then able to pay my bill which took 15 minutes. The lady who had hostility with me from the beginning took my credit card to the back from 10 minutes before she came back and said it will take a minute to process my information did not return for another 5 minutes. I called back the next day to speak to the manager who then informed me that my car was towed because I left my car to go somewhere else which I had not and I had proof where I parked. He did not want to hear what I had to say and contented to tell me that I left my car and was lying and then hung up on me. I felt disrespected and like I did not matter.Desired Settlement: My tow receipt list inaccurate information in which my car was towed from a location that I was not at. I have my receipt clearly showing that I was not where they claimed I was and I want my money back because G&G Towing company is now following the Montgomery County Tow Law.

Review: 05 july 2014 @ 4:09am G&G towed my 2010 [redacted] at the time my vehicle was parked with rear in space and front facing aisle space with emergency brake set. As of last maintence date my [redacted] had no issues or messages regarding my parking brakes. ON July 05 2014 around 1pm I went to pick up my [redacted]. upon starting of my car I tried to release the electronic parking brake the system made several click noise causing the car to shake the car eventually released and displayed message to schedule service on emergency brake and required immediately.Several times I have attempeted to contact and talk with the appropriate contact of G&G for my complaint. during each attempt I was not provided with name of whom I was speaking I was yelled at and told I was accessing them of wrongful damage. They did explain how they towed the car and that they had pictures but when attempting to ask questions to clarify my understanding or just to explain when my car notified me of this problem. I was not given the satisfaction to talk with out being yelled over by men of business and then ask of my nature of sexuality before being suddenly hung up on .Desired Settlement: I am looking for the tow company to take responsibility or to communicate with me in a matter where the issue can be properely discussed by both parties the customer and the business. I don't think it is necceassary to involve lawyers as it was shouted out to me by the people of G&G

Review: I'm an appraiser for a car insurance company.I saw a claimant at his place of business [redacted] md. When I pulled up in the parking lot I walked around the side of the building to meet the claimant at his car. I took about 30 pictures and fielded a few questions taking no more than ten min. When I walked back to the back lot my car was gone. I called g&g towing immediately. They told me the driver saw me "walk off" the lot. I payed to retrieve my car about an hour later from g&g towing. When I drove my car the back beaks immediately made awful noises. They towed my car 8+ miles with the e break on. When I called g&g towing the man I spoke with said the driver would have opened my car and disengaged the break. I said if that was the case my alarm would be going off. He said so they would have disconnected the battery (not to mention I was in ear shot of my alarm while taking photos for work). To witch I replied so my car clock should be blinking and its not. He then said "well that wouldn't happen thank you good bye" and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded my 180 dollars for towing my car and I would like the repair of my now damaged back beaks covered by g&g towing.

Review: My wife is in the last trimester of her pregnancy. She parked her car and walked into the shopping center because she needed to use the restroom. While in the shopping center a tow truck attempted to tow her car. She only left the car for 3-5 minutes. She came back just in time to have the tow truck driver release her car but also threaten her that a release fee needed to be paid. The tow truck driver [redacted] said he would not release the vehicle until the fee was paid. She was able to pay the tow truck driver $25 and get her vehicle back when it should not have been towed in the first place. When I called G & G Towing [redacted] (dispatch employee) stated that I she left the shopping center and I should have my attorney write a letter.

At this point a refund of $25 dollars is not important enough for me to pursue legal action. I just want to have a documented complaint on file that states that this company targeted her, a pregnant woman and proceeded to threaten that that car would not be released unless a fee was paid.Desired Settlement: I would not mind a refund but at the very least I want an apology not only for the practices that this company employs but also for the predatory behavior of taking advantage of the pregnant female. This is completely unethical, unacceptable and this company should be ashamed that this is how they conduct their daily business. There customer service over the phone was not acceptable either.

Review: G & G Towing IS THE WORST TOWING COMPANY THAT EVER EXISTED. They are rude and threatening. Two days ago, I purchased a new car and called the complex to inform them. While I was awaiting new stickers, G & G towed my car last night all the way from [redacted] to [redacted] and charged me per mile. When I called them, they told me it will cost $168 if I pay cash and $173 if I paid with my card. I couldn't afford to get any other cash so I decided to use my change that I had been saving up- contained dollar bills to the amount of $75 and the rest in quarters, dimes and nickels. When I got there, the guy told me he won't take it because it was too much to count. I told him I was a lawyer and I knew this is an acceptable form of payment. Coins were still cash. I told him I'll even help him count it. After a while, he acted like he'd count it, then proceeded to tell me I was a cheap lawyer and that only cheap people pay in coins and that I must not be paid enough money. He rained other insults on me. Then he decided to stop counting it and threw the coins back at me. After much argument for over an hour, he said if I didn't have full dollar bills to pay, they'll keep my car an extra day and charge me more money. Also, in the middle of our conversation, he said it was time for his lunch break and left me standing there with my money. I offered to pay by check and they refused to accept it. Eventually, I had to pay half with the dollar bills I had and the rest on my credit card and had to log the coins back. He then proceeded to say my name was difficult and African so he'd need more time to process my credit card. He was rude, racist and obnoxious. I have never felt so humiliated and insulted. This company needs to be investigated.Desired Settlement: G & G illegally towed my car. Then insulted me. Therefore, I deserve a refund of at least the amount of money they charged my credit card $94.

Review: G & G Towing towed my car from a parking pot and charged me $161 to get the car back. We believe they had no right to tow the vehicle. Due to the size of the parking lot and the small sign there is not adequete warning to the consumer that the car can be towed. In addition, we were planning on multiple stops to merchants and, therefore, how can they know where we are ? The car could not possibly have been there more than 10 minutes before it was towed. Giving us no chance to ascertain if we were, in fact, breaking the rules of the huge parking lot with hundreds of open spaces and multiple merchants attached to the lot, semi-attached to the lot, and not attached to the lot. This company waits in the dark, tows you as soon as you leave the immediate vicinity of the car, even though they have no idea where you are going, and then forces you to come back to a car at night in 5 degree temperatures with a special needs kid to figure out where is the car and who can pick me up ? Absolutely an abominable way to try to make money. I work hard for my money, I am a school teacher, I want my hard earned money back.Desired Settlement: G & G towing refunds the $ 161 they charged us to get our vehicle back. This is outrageous that they can take my property and charge me an excessive fee to get my property back WITH NO RECOURSE OTHER THAN THIS COMPLAINT. Really ?

Review: I live in the [redacted] community in [redacted] Maryland where the HOA requires all overnight visitors display a visitors pass to park. On May 23rd, my in-laws arrived to stay the weekend with us in which the parking pass was properly placed on the rear view mirror prior to Midnight. I had visually confirmed that the pass was properly displayed after my mother in-law had hung the pass. We did not move the car at all or the parking pass prior to the tow.

On the morning of May 25th, we woke up to the surprise that the car was towed directly by G&G towing (truck #*,Driver # [redacted]).

I phoned G&G towing and indicated that the car was improperly towed and that the parking pass was visible. Their response (desk agent Gannon) indicated that the pass was not displayed thus towed to their impound lot. We went to the G&G towing office around 10:45 am that morning and requested to see the car prior to payment. [redacted] refused to let us see the car in which we needed proof of a driver's license and credit card to release the car. I paid the $148.82 fine.

Once we got to the car, I noticed there were finger prints on the passenger side top door from the pollen that has collected on the car. To our surprise, we also found the parking pass underneath a pillow on the passenger side of the car missing from the rear view mirror.

Again, my mother in law [redacted] indicated she had place the parking pass on the rear view mirror in which I have visibly confirmed on May 23rd. This is just not a case of the parking pass falling down from the mirror, but was tampered with by G & G towing to improperly tow the car and collect fees fraudulently.Desired Settlement: This business should authorize the return of my payment and that driver #[redacted] be held accountable for his/her unethical business practices.

Review: my car was parked in front of the business I work at. G&G towing came in and installed a sign at 8am and towed my car by 9:20am. the management nor g& g towing give any notice of towing or installation of sign. the was towed within 1hr of installing signage. If the sign had been placed and the 24 hrs grace period as the county states signs must give for owners to be made aware, The car would have been moved. this is a clear case of predator towingDesired Settlement: Since the tow was not performed with allowed time for removal. I want them to release the car without cost.

Review: This company towed my vehicle from my neighborhood claiming that I did not have a parking permit. When in reality, I did have a permit in my car. What I believe happened was that the tow truck driver opened my car, removed my parking permit and then took a picture to prove that my car was subject to towing. I would have possibly believed it if my parking permit had fallen to the floor of my car but now the permit has disappeared. This is unethical practice and while I have no way to prove that they did go in to remove the permit how can they prove otherwise, considering that they have the tools and abilities to get into cars.

Furthermore, I got home around 530pm and my car was towed around 7am the next morning. Had I not had a parking permit, my car would have been towed much earlier or even many days ago. For this reason, I am confident that they removed my parking tag in order to tow my vehicle and rip me off.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded what I had to pay - approximately $173 and in addition the fee to replace my parking permit with my HOA, which will be an additional $75. This company is known for illegal and predatory towing in montgomery county and they should be stopped.

Review: Health Issue: Unsanitary shack-like building. As soon as I stepped in, there was a very nasty smell mixed with a burning smell. I had to step outside because I coughed from the fumes inside. The ground had a lot of dust/dirt and the place felt very damp. A very claustrophobic building with the window hanging that did not even close.

Problem: Wondering where my car is, I find a "G&G Towing" sign located at the very far back of the parking lot.

I call the number "###-###-####". An enraged lady ("Agent [redacted]") answers the phone and I give her the information about my car. She puts me on hold and says that she is contacting the driver of the towing truck with my car.

I arrive at the location of the company, nearly getting lost trying to find this small place with nothing but a small window and cameras. I knock on the window and a low-voiced man comes to the window and says "She'll be right with you." The man leaves the small place and 5-7 minutes later the enraged woman appears.

At this time, I am concerned with why she is taking so long and why the man that came to the window did not attend to my problem. I thought about how she was buying time in order to have my car impounded so she could charge me with more money, and as predicted, she did.

There was no reasoning with the bloodshot-eyed woman since "money" was the only solution to the problem.

Another shady act continued when she took my debit card and identification back to where there is no vision of her. I was concerned about her hiding and my debit card possibly being extorted.

15 minutes later, she came back with the receipt. There is no way sliding a card and checking for identification can take over 10 minutes, she came back with the a reply saying "Working with a slow computer". Which again shows the shadiness of this company and how it's a scam just for money. They can't afford to upgrade their business but yet they charge more than enough.

I argued with the woman with how much I was being charged. $161.23. My car had apparently towed for "9" miles when the GPS stated that it was "7.7" miles. The fact that they managed to take a longer route to the impound shows how this company only cares about the money they make. I check the receipt again and I was being charged an additional $20 for "Storage (1 Day)" when I was already at the pound before my car even got there. These unfair charges need to be dealt with and the employees themselves look menacing. As I said earlier, there was no reasoning with this woman, she stated, and I have this recorded via cellphone, "The county says we can do this" (the $20 fee) when she was clearly still trying to contact the driver about my car. She replied with "I didn't say S[redacted] like that, I most certainly did not." She was buying time for the driver to get to the impound in order to charge me with the extra mileage and impound cost. When we told her that we are recording this conversation she replied with "Good, I'm glad you did!" I replied back with "Could you have some manners? We are customers." and she indignantly replied with "I DON'T GIVE A F[redacted] WHAT YOU ARE! YOU KNOW WHERE OUR IMPOUND LOT IS?" I was shocked that she raised her voice and use profanity that I simply wanted to know where my car is and forget I ever spoke to her. At the end of this altercation, I held my cool and thanked her.

The paper she handed me also stated "Police Notified" when there was no police involved at all. The fact that it says "In Storage: 2:12AM" and "Released: 2:15AM" shows that I'm paying and unfair charge because "Agent [redacted]" decided to take her time on filing everything(10+ minutes). It can be clearly assumed that they are trying to rob me of more money than what is needed. If anything, I should have only have to pay for the release of my car which is $50.

When I got to Lot #3, the driver was still there and I'm not trying to make an assumption, but it seemed as if he just dropped my car off since it was nowhere near any other car and everyone other car was lined up real close to one another. I asked the man why the lady was acting the way she was and he ("Driver: 864") replied back "Man, you know; she's a crazy old [redacted] lady..." I asked him where I could complain and pointed me to the number ###-###-####. He told me to ask for [redacted].

After doing some online research of "G&G Towing" and looking at all the reviews, mostly being 1 out of 5 because "you can't go lower than 1" (as stated in most of the reviews) I did not want to talk on the phone with The "Former criminal" [redacted] because I do not want to be treated as a was by "Agent [redacted]". People that left reviews have had similar and worse altercations with this towing company and this being my first towing experience was by far a freighting one.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is most importantly being refunded-check because of how unfairly I was treated and charged as a customer. I believe this company is based on illegitimate rules by ex-cons that only work to get money out of innocent people.
