Hi *** I tried reaching you by phone but was unsuccessfulI have left you a voice messageIf you could give me a call when you have a chance that would be greatI had talked with *** (sitter) and she did not lock Kylee in the roomNot intentionally and not by accident either

At no time did she find her locked in a roomThat night when she arrived.*** first noticed wood chips on the floorAnd then looked up and noticed that the door was chewedWhen a dog has separation anxiety (as Kylee does) they will often have destructive habitsEspecially if they are left longer then usual or if their people are away from them. We only had you scheduled for overnightsWhich runs from to PM through to AMThat means she's alone for to hours during the day with no visitor/company/attention which is a long time for any dog to go and even more so, a dog that has separation anxiety as things are extremely heightened in their eyes*** said that she did discuss the option of setting you up with a 2nd sitter to add day visits and that you were welcome to contact the office to schedule thoseYour sitter also mentioned that it came up at your initial meeting that Kylee has a habit of chewing on doors. In the future, I would strongly recommend Day visits in conjunction with the overnightWith Kylee's condition I think it is too much on her and it causes too much stress to be alone for that amount of time and as a result that is why the door got chewed upI have worked as a vet tech for six years and I have studied dogs with separation anxiety and have cared for them in the past So I have seen this is the past with other dogs who have separation anxiety. 12-14hrs alone during the day is too long for any dog to go, especially a dog with separation anxietyDogs will often behave differently when their people are away.It is written in the contract that you signed that we cannot be held responsible for any property damage that results from your pet when they are left unsupervised in between booked visits. I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # *** ***,In response to your questions on the last email you sent on June 30th: I do not have the written instructions because I gave them to *** I honestly did not think that anything would happen that I would need to prove/defend myself that I would need to As far as what time *** and I were discussing Kylee, maybe you should ask *** and tell me what she says. The vacuum is in plain sight and located in my dining room by the coat closet, which is also near the exiting door where it has always been Maybe you would care to explain why the apartment was not thoroughly cleaned up again? Yes, there is damage to my carpet at the bottom of my bedroom door as Kylee was trying to dig her way out of the bedroom This was never communicated to me by ***, she only mentioned the door I am not attacking or questioning her sweetness or character *** I am merely trying to be compensated for the damages caused by your employees lack of knowledge As a customer of your company, I am apalled at the lack of concern for the damage caused to my home and the treatment I am receivingInstead, you are trying to twist the facts, defending your employee and asking me to prove myself, which in my eyes this poor customer service I would think that you would be more concerned about the reputation of your companyClearly, this is not the case.I am asking for the replacement of the doorI could ask for the money paid in advance be reimbursed, replacement of the door and the carpet as well as other costs and damages. It is going on a week since this happened, I am not going to let this go It is a matter of principle and I am not asking for anything that any other customer would want if in my position and I will not be put in the position of defending my case to you I have texts, pictures and enough proof.I am truly hoping that this can be resolved amicably.Sincerely,*** ***'s response on Saturday July 1st was that she would be looking into the matter further and would get back to me. She did leave a message on Saturday and said that she would try me on Sunday. She has not called since. As far as her trying to get a hold of me on the day that email was sent (June 30th at 11:AM), I did return her call in which she responded via email instead of speaking with me

Hi [redacted] I tried reaching you by phone but was unsuccessful. I have left you a voice message. If you could give me a call when you have a chance that would be great. I had talked with [redacted] (sitter) and she did not lock Kylee in the room. Not intentionally and not by accident either....

[redacted] said that when she left that morning that Kylee was by the door trying to follow her out. Also when she arrived that night Kylee had greeted her at the door.  At no time did she find her locked in a room. That night when she arrived.[redacted] first noticed wood chips on the floor. And then looked up and noticed that the door was chewed. When a dog has separation anxiety (as Kylee does) they will often have destructive habits. Especially if they are left longer then usual or if their people are away from them.  We only had you scheduled for overnights. Which runs from 8 to 10 PM through 6 to 8 AM. That means she's alone for 12 to 14 hours during the day with no visitor/company/attention which is a long time for any dog to go and even more so, a dog that has separation anxiety as things are extremely heightened in their eyes. [redacted] said that she did discuss the option of setting you up with a 2nd sitter to add day visits and that you were welcome to contact the office to schedule those. Your sitter also mentioned that it came up at your initial meeting that Kylee has a habit of chewing on doors. In the future, I would strongly recommend Day visits in conjunction with the overnight. With Kylee's condition I think it is too much on her and it causes too much stress to be alone for that amount of time and as a result that is why the door got chewed up. I have worked as a vet tech for six years and I have studied dogs with separation anxiety and have cared for them in the past . So I have seen this is the past with other dogs who have separation anxiety. 12-14hrs alone during the day is too long for any dog to go, especially a dog with separation anxiety. Dogs will often behave differently when their people are away.It is written in the contract that you signed that we cannot be held responsible for any property damage that results from your pet when they are left unsupervised in between booked visits. If it was a result of negligence then we most certainly would take care of it and cover all expenses but at no time did [redacted] lock Kylee in the room. She had followed the instructions that were left for her and felt badly that you had to arrive home to a chewed up door but unfortunately it was something that was out of our control.  I understand it's your first time using the service but we do go above and beyond to ensure that we only hire experienced professionals who are also responsible pet parents and [redacted] is very honest and responsible. I am sorry that you had to arrive home to a chewed up door. Nobody wants to arrive home to that!If you would like to discuss more, you are welcome to give me a call.
