I am rejectin* this response because: The story was somewhat true up until the part where they said I never brou*ht a birth certificate or social security card. I was never told to brin* them in. [redacted] husband [redacted] said their boss ([redacted]) had to speak to the owner to see if he was willin* to rent to a victim of identity theft, bein* that one of their apartments were RAIDED by POLICE because they rented an apartment to an IDENTITY THEIF. I called back the followin* day like I was asked to by [redacted] only to find out that someone BLOCKED my telephone number from callin* Fountain Crest Apartments. I called from a different number & [redacted] picked up. Lon* story short she REFUSED to *ive me the owner's names, said their last name was forei*n & started with a "*" & *ood luck with me findin* him. I called around & received the names of the owners. I spoke with [redacted] who is the owner who lives in HAYWARD, CA. [redacted] said the owners lived out of the state. He basically covered for his employees & *ave me a number to Check Point to *et the copy of my credit report that I requested. He also stated that he'd NEVER heard about my situation & that if I was DENIED I should've received a DENIAL LETTER in the mail which I NEVER received.

Review: THE MANAGERS [redacted] ARE RUNNING A SCAM. I APPLIED ON 8/12/15, PAID $30 FOR A CREDIT CHECK. IT'S NOW 8/25/15 & NO ONE HAS TOLD ME IF I WAS APPROVED. THEY STATED THAT BECAUSE I WAS A VICTIM OF IDENTITY THEFT THAT I'D HAVE TO PROVIDE ANOTHER FORM OF IDENTITY. THEY HAD TO WAIT FOR THEIR BOSS TO CONTACT THE OWNER (WHO IS RELATED TO HIM). [redacted] TOLD ME I'D RECEIVE A CALL THE FOLLOWING DAY TO HEAR AN ANSWER FROM THE OWNER ABOUT IF HE'S WILLING TO RENT TO ME. THAT WAS LAST WEEK. I LEFT A VOICEMAIL YESTERDAY & DIDN'T RECEIVE A CALL BACK. I CALLED "3" TIMES TODAY ONLY TO HEAR THAT THE NUMBER WASN'T TAKING CALLS FROM MY NUMBER. I CALLED FROM ANOTHER PHONE & [redacted] PICKED THE PHONE UP ON THE "2nd" RING. I ASKED FOR THE MANAGER & OWNER'S NAME. SHE TOLD ME DAN. SAID SHE COULDN'T GIVE ME THEIR LAST NAME BECAUSE IT ISN'T AMERICAN. I FEEL LIKE THEY'RE TAKING PERSONAL INFORMATION & CREDIT CHECK FEES WITHOUT ACTUALLY PROVIDING AN APARTMENT. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT I WAS IN CONTACT WITH [redacted] A "MONTH" PRIOR TO ME APPLYING. BEWAREDesired Settlement: I'd like my $30.00 back I was charged for the credit fee. On 08/12/2015 I was told that within 3-5 business I would have an answer to if I was approved for the apartment or not.
