Fineline is a scam!
I had the same experience as the previous guy. Contractors not getting paid, homeowners getting ripped off. Avoid Fineline Developments and Sven at all costs.

from Fineline Developments signed a quote for a job that he wanted me to do for him. The quote outlined the payment schedule (50% up front, 30% when the electrical rough in was done and 20% when the electrical was finished.). *** from Fineline developments paid the 50% up front but has yet to pay anything else plus he even added work to the job (under cabinet lights)

It's been over 60 days and still no payment. I have started small claims action against him, first I sent a demand letter on may 15th giving him 14 days to clear up his bill. When I talked to *** on the phone today he said "I dont care about that demand letter".

***

*** from Fineline Developments Inc. Has an outstanding bill with *** for over 60 days now and I want to be paid.

Desired Outcome

I want Fineline Developments to pay

Fineline Developments Response • Jun 04, 2018

The Contractor has not provided the service we have hired him for. We asked him to revise his invoice and send us final inspection for the electrical work. The contractor did not finish the work on time, which caused us to finish, but he did not remove this work from his final invoice. As soon as we receive the revised invoice and final inspection, we will send out payment following the 30 day pay policy.

All the Electrical work outlined in the quote was done. When we showed up to finish, the Island plug was installed. All the wire and box was installed by ***. The wire for the Dishwasher was ran by ***. The plug that was installed (Hook up 2 wires) was an existing plug that was used. The dishwasher was 2 wires as well. Fineline developments (***) decided to hook those 2 items up even when he knew when we were coming back to finish. The final invoice was sent on April 2nd, 2018. I did not adjust the invoice for the extra work that we did. we ran the wire that was in the plaster, in the studs so the house was up to code (we did not charge extra for that). The original quote was for the whole job, not a time and material job. *** and Fineline Developments decided on their own to hook up a Plug and Dishwasher on their own (Maybe take 10 minutes, and no extra material) even though they are not Licensed Electricians or the Homeowner. The amount due is on the invoice sent on April 2nd, 2018.

I also sent *** from Fineline Developments another copy of the invoice on May 14th. ***

The home Owner is happy with the job (The electrical end) I can provide her name and number if need be.

The Electrical Inspector is happy with my work and I can provide his name and number if need be.

I really could use the money that *** from Fineline Developments owes me. He just has to do the right thing and pay ***

*** from Fineline Developments does not have a 30 day payment policy. You can ask his previous Electrician who he owes over $16000 for well over 120 days or Ask Marz Plumbing who he owes over $7000 for well over 90 days. All contact info can be provided if someone would like to talk to either of those contractors.

***
No one know what the final inspection he is talking about is. As stated, the *** inspector can be contacted if *** from Fineline wants to talk to him. If that's the case I will drive him over to ***s office this week so *** can meet him face to face.

***, did the customer want undercabinet lights? Did you speak to me on the phone about those lights and tell me there was no need to send a quote for those lights and work?

Did we do extra work because there were wires burried in the plaster wall?

***

For the extra work we did and the under cabinet lights we installed minus the plug your employee installed (***) what do you think is fair for a final invoice? Please include the extra work we did pulling the wires through the wall studs and the under cabinet lights because you charged the customer extra for that.

Mr. needs to take $230+tax off from the final invoice. We will send out cheque by mail as soon as we received the revised invoice from him.
