At this point, I've been having a nightmare with Fastway Moving.
I hired their services in June for an international moving. The products were picked up and I was informed that my products would be shipped expeditely. All documents required by Fastway were provided by me in a timely manner and it seemed that everything would be fine.
Since that it has been impossible to contact them. The employees are never available and they never return my calls. I have absolutely no information on my shipment and I'm really concerned about it.
The most impressive thing is the total lack of respect with the custommer. I´ve been calling them on a daily basis for the last weeks and I have not been able to obtain any information on my shipment.
I would really appreciate if they had at least took my call to give me information on my shipment.

Review: "The Fastway Moving" agreed to provide the moving service from CT to IA (interstate). On arrival in Iowa City multiple item were damaged or completely brocken. But most terrible - they did not deliver two adult "[redacted]" bicycles, valuable items, that additionally close to my heart. One (black) bicycle was 2 year old and costed new 650 USD, second - white mountain bike is one year old (in like new condition) and costed new 500 USD.

I consider those items as stolen by "Fastway Moving" and them overall as failed to provide promised service.

The company informed about this claim, unfortunately after 24 hours they did not find the bikes. The truck driver was [redacted] (private solo driver, contracted by "Fastway Moving").Desired Settlement: The moving expenses will probably reimbursement by my new employer. So adjustment of the amount I payed to "Fastway Moving" will not help me to compensate my lost. I ask "Fastway Moving" to find my bikes or compensate separately my lost in cash.

Review: I contracted Fastway Moving to manage moving my household stuff from CT to OR. Their folks came and packed/ wrapped my furniture and picked up my boxes on the scheduled date. The horror began when they came to deliver my stuff. They broke my son's crib, badly scratched a side table that they wrapped so poorly that it arrived without any wrapping, broke 2 out of 4 dining table chairs mainly because when the packed they didn't do that poorly, badly scratched the foot of the dining table, chipped off corners of my king bed. And the worst of all being they completely misplaced 2 back cushions of my 900 USD sofa bed which forms the entire backrest - rendering the furniture useless. I have made at least 3 to 4 calls till now and all they have promised me is to look into it and call back (which never happened) and file a claim, knowing very well that my loss will far exceed any reimbursements.

And that's not all. The driver brought and unloaded 1 box of clothes and 2 pieces of furniture that didn't belong to me. I believe my alertness in sending them back might have saved someone significant financial loss but it speaks volumes of the kind of work Fastway does. In addition the driver forgot my TV first time and had to go back and get it which took 5 extra hours. As a result the delivery which started in the morning lasted till midnight. He brought a helper who was supposed to unpack all the stuff while he was getting the TV but the helper left after 20 mins hardly after doing anything and without letting us know that he was leaving. We unpacked most of the stuff ourselves as it was getting very late.

In the end the driver insisted on me signing off on the delivery form that everything was done well and mention all the damages in a separate white sheet which he said he will sign on. He was visibly unhappy when I refused to do that saying I was being unprofessional and making him look bad.

Based on my experience I would strongly discourage anyone form using Fastway.Desired Settlement: I want Fastway to either find me my missing stuff and replace all significantly damaged stuff or financially compensate me enough for me to cover the costs of replacing them myself.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I hired Fastway Movers to move my belongings from [redacted] to [redacted]. I was originally told by Derrick you get 2-3 days notice of delivery. I was then told by the movers I only have to give 1 day notice. The mover called on Saturday at 2:30 pm to tell me he would deliver my furniture between 8:00 and 10:00 the next day which was Sunday August 2, 2015. I advised the mover I was in [redacted] and would be home between 5:00 and 6:00 pm Sunday. He said he would call me back.

the mover called me back Sunday and advised he would be able to deliver on Monday afternoon. I told him that was good because I'm a teacher and I could not miss the first day of school. the mover called me back at 9:30 pm and advised me he would instead deliver Monday morning. I told him I would not be home and asked him if he could keep his first time of Monday afternoon.

He advised me he had a delivery in [redacted] and could not come in the afternoon. I had no choice but to agree and told him again no one would be home.

I spoke to the mover Monday morning around 7:00 am and again around 10:00 am twice by phone and once by text. At no time did the mover tell me he didnt understand my sticky notes or that he didn't know where the dumpster was. I have the phone records to prove it. yes the conversations were brief but just to inform me he received the payment and that he didnt see my cat as I was nervous about her getting out of the apartment.

the dumpster is across and diagonal from my complex. I have taken a picture. I was told my mirror would be hung back up my glass would be put back in my end tables. this was not done and again I have pictures.

I also have pictures of the mess that was left and my damaged property. the company wants to blame me for their substandard delivery.

Unfortunately the facts are not true. In reality we could have not delivered mrs. [redacted] Items since she was not even in ** when the truck arrived, instead we re-route the truck to wait for her and delivery next day. In the morning of the delivery she called the driver around 7am and told him that she would not be home and would leave somebody there to receive her items, when driver arrived, the maintenance guy had the keys, only opened the door and took off. The driver did the best he could to delivery her goods in the correct places. while he was there he tried to call her a few time but she was not available to give him instructions. Mrs. [redacted] claim for money is not valid, and we will not refund her any money since was her choice not to be home to receive her delivery. Any damage related claim, she need to follow the instruction on her contract and contact the claims department.

I am rejecting this response because: I have the phone records to prove I spoke to the mover on Sunday and Monday. Again I was not given 24 hours notice of delivery even if I was or was not in [redacted]. 24 hours notice would have been after 2:00 pm on Sunday not Sunday morning. I am not surprised at all by the companies response. I will send the record of incoming and out going phone calls for Sunday and Monday with the movers phone number at any time to prove that my statements are true. I also have pictures of how my apartment was left which has nothing at all to do with whether I was at home or not. Their also was no excuse for not putting my television back on the base as it was removed by Fastway Moving. Also Fastway promised to put a heavy and expensive mirror back on the wall. I left instructions and it was just placed on the floor. I paid for services that were not rendered. If you are professional movers getting paid, you discard your trash. I also have pictures of the proximity of where the dumpster is in relation to the building I reside in. I hope others will read this before deciding on this company to move your precious belongings.

As per Mrs [redacted] requested first available delivery day, she was available anytime from the 27th. Which is also not true, we got there on 08/02 and she was not even in **, more than enough reason to put her belongs in storage and charge storage fee and re-delivery. but we worked this out with her and waited till monday. We NEVER promised to hang any mirror on the wall since this is not our job and we are not liable for this. All the packing material left behind belongs to Mrs. [redacted] and its not our job either to take it back, we as a courtesy dispose to clients when is possible on their on garbage receptacle, which was not available.

I am rejecting this response because: Fastway is supposed to be a professional moving company. The movers should be able to discard debris from packing materials they provided in the first place. Derrick in Secaucus promised numerous services that were not provided. Yes he promised to put my mirror back on the wall. Yes I was promised whatever was taken apart would be put back together. They took the base of my flat screen television off and now I cant find the screws to put the base back on.I have broken dishes. I also have a leather chair with a puncture hole in it. My table is less sturdy due to it being left on its side as was my leather chaise.I paid $2900.00 for services that were not provided. Again I am going to say the dumpster is diagonal from my apartment complex. As a matter of fact their are 3 dumpsters in the same location.I spoke to the mover Saturday, Sunday and Monday. At no time did he have any questions or concerns about anything.He mentioned at least 4 times he had to go to [redacted] for his next job. I believe he rushed my moving job to get to the next moving job in [redacted]. How would I know that if I wasnt told that?Again phone records don't lie and I can provide them.I am a teacher and Monday was the first day of school. I could not take off which I told the mover several times. He assured me my absence would not be a problem. I spoke to him while he was in the apartment and texted him. He had no questions about garbage disposal or replacement of items.I am once again disappointed in the reply but not at all surprised. I have pictures of damages and how closed the dumpster is to my apartment complex. Phone records and pictures do not lie.

I am rejecting this response because: If the movers had not been negligent my belongings would not have been damaged in the first place. If the movers would have disposed of the trash, they would not have had to pile up furniture and boxes.As a result they should be responsible for the loss and damage of my belongings. The dumpster is visible from the front of the building. The mover had no excuse for not providing services that was promised to me.

All services agreed were performed. Any misplaced item is due to Mrs. [redacted] were not present at delivery and didn't have anyone assigned to guide the movers. Any damage related she has to contact our claim department and they will handle it accordingly. Thanks.
