Dear [redacted] : We have received your letter dated December 5, regarding the inquiry filed with your office by [redacted] We sincerely regret any issues he may have encountered with Family Shopping ClubWe have researched [redacted] 's account and show he placed an order with our Sales Department on November 11, Upon receiving this letter, his account has been cancelled and he has been given a full refund of $which represents all monies paid to our service by [redacted] We will also fulfill the request for the $gift card for [redacted] as stated by our sales department during the initial callFurthermore, we have placed [redacted] 's contact number on our company's 'Do Not Serve' list to prevent any future contact.We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaintIf you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.Sincerely, John M

I am so tired of these "savings clubs" tacking themselves on to other products that you are ordering. You are "pressured" into trying it with the simple "just cancel if you're not completely satisfied." You are charged 2.95 just to try it and if you aren't satisfied you may cancel in 14 days. However, the start date is unclear and they will not budge if you are one day over the trial period. This results in a 19.95 monthly charge which they will not refund under any circumstances. Good way to make over $20 for supplying no service whatsoever. They will promptly cancel your membership when called, but are not concerned if you are unsatisfied with their service. They got their money.
