Mr. Matthew F, President Mr. Todd F Vice President/Treasurer. I recently purchased new mobile home from your factory at your retail center
Mr. Wayne F, Vice President the mobile home has been delivered over a month ago It remains incomplete. It has been paid in full, your busines mgr hung up on me after payment was received, all services contracted by your company have deficiencies; the base pad was improperly prepared, the building is twisted from top (roof) to bottom (steel), the supports below are out of level, water pools beneath the unit, there are holes made in the top/bottom of the building, the doors do not close properly, plumbing main drain piping lean backwards, some blocks are loose, cracked, shower surround/drain pan are discolored, trim is missing, bent, twisted, skirting is missing and more, a factory rep has been out to document issues

Desired Outcome

Being the building is twisted including roof rafters, steel supports, improper preparation and sub contractor issues it might be best to replace the unit. Someone called to come out and "fix" it this morning. I called to verify with the third party business acting as GC to call and discuss actions to be taken, no return call. I had called some time ago requesting attention to issues, provision of plan and ample notice from this party, Justin. I am requesting from the company, manufacturer owners listed here for a comprehensive plan to resolve this mess.

Good Morning, We have made several attempts to go to the customers property and address any issues that there may be. Our company has completed everything we were contracted to do except the skirting.
Highlands County has inspected the set up of the home and it passed inspection and was signed off on by them. We can supply the inspection report from the county. The Skirting can not go on until the final inspection and this customer has requirements on his end that he has not met with Highlands county to get us to the final inspection.
The Client has refused to let the dealer or the set up crew visit his property and says we are not allowed on the property.
For this reason, we are unable to address any of the alleged issues.
For the reasons above I feel this is an unfair complaint.

It seems this party responding, to whom this complaint was not addressed, has not read the complaint. No matter. The D- score (a fair tally) for paid services was lead by this party. This complaint is directed to the owners of this business. The respondent and contractor split the amounts paid for services rendered substandard. In addition, the agreed upon services continue as incomplete.
I have and remain in demand of a full refund. Attached is a partial list of issues, reasons for my demand. This includes the placement of the unit being off the contractual agreed survey specified location! It is my right to if I decide; when and by whom these issues will be addressed. The contractor took weeks to respond to my concerns reported, the call was made from an employee, not the signatory on the tag. The respondent has never requested to review the mess or visit or offered to fix it.

Good Morning,
Family Home Center and Live Oak Homes have done everything possible to try and make this client happy. We have made appointments and planning trips only to get to the day of going and being told no to come.
The one time Mr *** has let Live oak Homes come to his property he sent an email telling them how great of a job that was done and even referred to them as The A Team. I have made numerous calls, voicemails, text messages trying to schedule a time to come down and look at his home. He refuse to call us back. He has stated many times that Family Home Center and Forida Mobile Masters is no allowed on his property.
I have attached a timeline of how the project went when he was communicating with me regularly. He cut off communication with Family Home center on 4-29-20 but continued with Live Oak Homes and they copied me on the emails which I have attached.
Family Home Center has completed everything we were contracted to do Except the Skirting which will be installed as soon as the Highlands County permit department tells us we are clear to install.
I hope this clears up this matter as we are a very caring and dedicated company.

This company is refusing to return my deposit after my "denial" from the financing company/lender.
Problem Date started on December 17th, 2019

Payment Method: A check from my checking account for $1,000.00

The sales representative I was working with named Vince, informed me by text message that my FHA and Conventional Financing with Cascade Land Home Financing were denied. He then told me that he can get me the house ordered if I'd use their preferred lender (21st Mortgage). I informed Vince that I wasn't interested in 21st Mortgage due to their higher interest rate and that I'd like to see the denial letter that was issued to them. I emailed my lender in regards to this issue and found out that there were NO denial letters issued and that I was still approved for an FHA loan.
Vince informed me that he can not refund my deposit because the permits were paid for and as per his owner's policy, once I paid the impact fee they will give me my permits.
I called the Citrus County Building Division and was informed that the permits were NOT paid for, only $50 was paid, there was a total of $5,269.15 still unpaid.

I responded to Vince with the information I was given and told him that I am no longer interested in doing business with Family Home Center due to their dishonesty and lies, and requested my deposit back minus the $50 permit fee that was paid and their administrative fees that Family Home Center charges.

As of December 30th 2019, I have not had a response by the company nor sales representative. It seems to me that they do not want to work with the company I was approved for, even though they were the ones who referred me to them.

Desired Outcome

I am wanting a refund of my $1,000 deposit minus the permit fee ($50) and their admin/office time. Even if they decided to change their mind and go through with the lender that I am approved for after this complaint, I DO NOT want to work with them due to their lies.

Specified furniture in the contract hasn't been delivered yet after 4 months.
Me and my wife bought a manufactured home from this company on 08-29-2019, in the contract there was furniture specified to be with the home, it has been 4 months since we paid for the furniture, and it hasn't been delivered yet, when my wife inquired about when we would get our furniture, the General Manager David W told her it could be 6 months or more, but he said he would give our money back. My wife said she would drive to their place of business to get it, she was told she would have to wait another week to get a check. So we waited a week, and my wife drove 40 miles one way to their business to get the check, when she got there, no check, just more excuses. The next day Mr. David W called and said he would only give us the money minus the sales taxes paid, when I told him I wouldn't accept that, but would report him to the state if he didn't give the full amount back, he got mad, and said we would have to take the furniture, that's been a month ago, and no furniture, and haven't heard from them.

Desired Outcome

We either want our furniture as specified in the contract without any further delay, or an immediate total refund of $1356.80, which is $1280.00 plus $76.80 sales tax.

Having issues with the length of time it is taking the home center to get my home ready to be lived in, manager wants me to deal with his sub contract
Purchased a home from this company being told I would live in my home within 60 days of the house being set on property. I was told I may pay one mortgage on home before I live in it. Next week I will be paying my third mortgage on a home I still can't live in. House has been set for 75 days and I'm still waiting on the AC, finished electric and inspections. I was told when I purchased the home that I was not allowed to use outside sources for any work. When I call and talk to the owner the owner tells me I'm wrong and that nobody ever told me that. I call the owner/manager of the company and voice my complaints and he doesn't think it's necessary for me to be upset with him or the company I should be upset with HIS subcontractors and he proceeds to question me on why I'm not calling HIS subcontractors and asking them why the job isn't getting done. He just continues to tell me it's not his fault
and does not offer any possible resolutions to me not having a home that I'm paying a mortgage on and paying rent on the house I have to live in while my home is being finished.

Desired Outcome

Job finished and something done to accommodate me on paying for a home I still can't live in.

Good Afternoon, this customer bought a custom ordered mobile home from us. During the closing we advised the customer that with this type of project and with everything he needs done that it would take APPROXIMATELY 60 DAYS from the day of set up to finish everything else. Once the home arrived from the factory we delivered and set up this customers new home on or around April 28th,2019. We immediately went to work and ordered the Well, Septic, trim out, etc.
These companies all have at least 2 to 3 weeks of a back log on orders. Everything was going pretty good until the well company had a very bad accident and wrecked there well rig truck and was out of commission for about 3 weeks. Then the rainy season came and we had about 12 straight days of rain. Then the holidays came: Memorial day and 4th of July. I know these sound like excuses but they are actually facts and all of our other clients have been pretty understanding as we have sold 33 homes the last 3 months and some our having the same issues as this client but they are understanding that some if not all of this is out of the control of Family Home Center. I have assured this client we would have him finished up before the end on this month. They are out there today July 18th installing the Ac/heat system and the sub feed pole for the electric. He is Scheduled for inspections on July 19Th and should be able to move in to the new home by July 23rd or 24th. I have tried to contact client several times the past few days to let him know this but have not heard back until I got this complaint in the mail. In closing, this project has took a little longer than normal but it was due to unforeseen circumstances. I hope this answers the complaint and I assure project to be complete in the time frame mentioned above.

Yes, all excuses. You never called us at all because I always answer my phone. You order the inspection on the house without even knowing what's going on. AC was just completed on Thursday July 18th but the people who were supposed to run the electric from the well to my home said that the ground is too wet and they have to wait until it dries up. Another set back. I talk to the AC men and they both inform me that they do not recommend family home center to anybody as well because it is a nightmare with you guys. Also informs us that our house is set wrong and that y'all will say anything to make yourselves look better and the price you gave me to have my own AC installed cannot be right. And I have mentioned to you before , my biggest issue is not the fact that it's taking so long. My biggest issue is the fact that you have not tried in any possible way to make this right. You have not done or offered anything to actually show you are sorry for what's going on. Actions speak louder than words. My wife calls you recently and asks if we can have the backs to our toilets and you tell us we have to wait to get them for 30-45 days and to put a garbage bag over the back of them. My family and everyone I speak too are just dumbfounded by all the set backs . And say they will never do business with Family Home Center.

Good Afternoon, Simply put, most of this complaint is filled with inaccuracies and fibs. No one from my company ever told these folks to put garbage bags over the backs of there toilets. No one from my air conditioning company ever told these folks we were a bad company. We have told these folks to come to the dealership and get the toilet tank lids from one of our other homes and have offered to assist in expediting there service issues with the factory.
The electrical sub-feed pole is being wired today and hopefully we can recall the inspections in for Tomorrow. At this point we have tried to make these folks happy as we possibly can.
I am willing to sit down and discuss anything the customer would like as far as trying to make this right for him but when I attempt to do so it turns into an argument. By the terms of our contract we have fulfilled it to the letter of the law.
It has taken a little longer than what we anticipated due to the weather and unforeseen circumstances. I encourage anyone reading this to check out our testimonials on our face book page and also look at our google page with over 60 5 star reviews to our credit.

Okay so now I am a liar. How can you as a business owner sit there and call a customer who bought a home from you a LIAR. Where would I even come up with the idea of putting a garbage bad on the bowl of my toilet from? My wife calls you guys and says that we do not have the backs to our toilet seats, they tell her we have to call your factory to get them. So we call them and they tell us (YOUR FACTORY, since you told me you are the owner) to put a garbage bag over it because they only come out one time to fix everything we need and only once. And yes the ac guys did tell me that they do not recommend you guys to anyone. I'm sure they would tell you otherwise because I'm sure you give them majority of their business. I have not once lied about anything. You haven't once asked me to come sit down and come to an arrangement, every time we talk on phone (as everyone can see in our conversation back and forth here) it is just a argument where you claim you guys have done nothing wrong and I shouldn't be upset with y'all. The one time I asked you guys to do something for our troubles, asked for an upgraded stove , even said I would pay the difference, you tell me that unfortunately you cannot do that because the home we bought is a home that you bought multiple of because of the deals and we cannot change ANYTHING on the house without having to pay an extra $6,000. (And as you claimed before we bought a custom built home, it's not custom , it's a lot model). You have told me over and over again that there is nothing you can do for us, so why would I drive a hour to your office to argue more and get nowhere? I just want to live in the home I'm about to make my fourth mortgage payment on and be completely done with you and your company. And I encourage anyone reading this to really check out homes elsewhere because if I knew all of these things I've had to go through I would have not bought from them. They have beautiful homes , but the customer service is absolutely terrible.
