I have reviewed the response submitted by *** *** on behalf of Mr*** ***, owner of Taylor Tree Service. It is full of inaccuracies. I will delineate them here for the record:
I have a photo, which I submitted to the company, of the truck that was on my property. This truck clearly does not meet the "range of the average F-to F-pickup trucks weight" and also shows the trailer on which the grinder was placed
The area of driveway damage that Ms*** thinks she can see from Google Earth is not visible due to tree branches obscuring the driveway from the very tree they cut down
I was never asked about "stump clean up". This may have been part of the written estimate, but I was never given a copy of this, nor did I sign one
The marks on my house that she references were most certainly from her crew. The tree was on the opposite side of my driveway to where my house is located, but the branches, when cut, would have come down against my siding, if not cut with caution
I actively chose not to respond to Mr***'s offer of a gift card to a restaurant to compensate for his companies "shortcomings" as he called them, as this is not the purpose of my efforts. Being treated with respect was
My second certified letter was not to question the "facilities" as
Ms*** put it, but among other issues, it did question the faculties of their employees. Quite a different endeavor
I'm not quite sure why a scheduled power outage at an office prevents mail pick up at the post office for three days, leading to a delay in receiving my payment and a phone call asking to speak to me about said paymentI am willing to close the case at this time. I was under the impression that it had already been so, due to a lack of response from Taylor Tree ServiceAs is evidenced by their response, this business is not keen on prompt attention or an eye for details. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this matter

A representative of Taylor Tree completed the previously unfinished items on September 13. The gentleman was very efficient and cordial and I was completely satisfied with his work
I believe Mr***'s statement about contacting a past employee is incorrect, as my contacts with Taylor Tree were for the most part through *** at Taylor Tree's office, not through Taylor Tree's former employee. I have several voice messages from *** stating that representatives of Taylor Tree were coming out in May, to finish the job, and this did not occur. I also spoke with someone at Taylor Tree (again, not the former employee) on at least two different occasions in March, before I filed the complaint
As noted on page 2, Mr*** agreed to compensate me $for firewood from one of the downed trees that Taylor Tree was supposed to leave. I have not yet received this amount from Taylor Tree

employee about his situationI was extremely grateful for your letter and I have attached my
correspondence with Mr[redacted], with whom I have come to an agreement about finishing the work and the

Very respectfully,

Your letter concerning Ms. [redacted] arrived on August 20, 2014 the same day Mr. [redacted] reached
out to Ms. [redacted] via email (see attached the email), and to date has not received any type of
response from Ms. [redacted].
Ms. [redacted] was given a proposal on March 26, 2014 that was left per her...

instruction in her
mailbox. Ms. [redacted] verbally contracted with [redacted] and did in fact have her copy, signed by
[redacted].
Our customers are: all given a time range that we wil be to their property similar to what the
cable company does. We even have to push people due to inclement weather or unforeseen
emergencies. Trees are very dirty and when they are up against a house they grow and leave marks.
The "marks" that [redacted] washëd off were not from my crew when they removed the limbs.
Stumps are not generally done or completed on the same day as the tree removals;
this is Taylor Tree’s general practice. Ms [redacted] was asked if she wanted the stump cleaned up
and she did not due to the additional cost.
On July 14, 2014 an employee arrived with a 1999 GMC truck with dual wheels (that distributes
the weight of the truck) weighing 9808 lbs with a pull-behind stump grinder. A “trailer” was
never at Ms. [redacted]’ property, that is why the grinder never left the trailer as her letter stated.
The grinder is on wheels and towed behind a vehicle. Stump grinding is done at a depth of
approximately 6-12” with chasing of the leads. The grindings are left on-site unless specifically
noted.
Ms. [redacted] also stated the truck damaged her driveway. The truck is within the range of the
average of F-iso to F-450 pickup trucks weight. But if you take a look at google earth as we did,
you will see the cracks in her driveway dated back to May 2012. There is also a clause on our
proposal sheets explaining driveway damage
Office
closes from 1-2 for lunch when mail was retrieved on Tuesday, July 28th Mr. [redacted] called Ms.Coss on Tuesday, July 28th not knowing there was certified mail because he was out with the
crews, working on the crane.
Ms. [redacted] also sent a certified letter to Taylor Tree where she questioned the “facilities” of our
employee. I assure that Taylor Tree follows the DOT standards and regulations and every
company who has a DOT number must drug test all of their employees. When the employee was
done with Ms. [redacted] stump, he satin his truck for 30 minutes to have his lunch, as required by
Federal Law.
Our company strives for complete satisfaction, that is why we returned to re-trim the pines but
it is apparent that we are at a stale mate with Ms. [redacted]. She seems to be on a smear campaign,
not only has she contacted you but also Angie’s List, I personally have spent too much of my
time trying to reply to all of Ms. [redacted] ranting. As you can see from the email that Mr. [redacted]
sent he personally apologized, offered to reconcile and has taken it to the managers meeting in
September.
Remember when your mother taught you “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at
all”? I have nothing further to report, just the facts as stated above. Please call us if you have
any other questions @ ###-###-####.

Review: In April, 2013, I contracted with Taylor Tree Service to cut down several trees and grind the stumps of some of the larger trees on my property. They were supposed to cut (into firewood-sized pieces) and leave the wood on the property. In early May, 2013, representatives of Taylor Tree Service began this job, but was unable to finish grinding two of the stumps and cutting up one of the trees. Approximately two weeks later, they came back to grind one of the stumps, but did not finish the other. They were supposed return last fall to cut up the tree, but have not done so. In addition, they did not leave the wood for one of the larger trees. The company was been paid in full at the time the job started in May, 2013. Despite numerous requests by telephone and e-mail, the job is still not finished, and I have received no responses to my last attempts to contact the company.Desired Settlement: I would like Taylor Tree Service to contract with a local company to grind the stump the cut up the remaining tree that they felled last May. In addition, I would like compensated $50 for the wood of the tree they were supposed to leave and instead carted away.

A representative of Taylor Tree completed the previously unfinished items on September 13. The gentleman was very efficient and cordial and I was completely satisfied with his work.

I believe Mr. [redacted]'s statement about contacting a past employee is incorrect, as my contacts with Taylor Tree were for the most part through [redacted] at Taylor Tree's office, not through Taylor Tree's former employee. Review: I obtained a quote in March for trimming 2 pine trees, cutting down a tree and removing a stump. [redacted] stated they could do the work on a Tuesday afternoon, when I could be present. Having heard nothing for weeks, I called on April 29th and left a message. On the 30th, [redacted] called and said they would be down on a Tuesday and would be in touch. I left the country on May 24 and returned on the 30th. [redacted] had left 2 voice mails on the 29th stating they would be there on FRIDAY, the 30th do the work which I didn't get. The stump wasn't removed, branches hit my siding and marked it up, and the trees weren't trimmed correctly. They returned on June 10th at 6 pm (after I was told they would be here in the early afternoon) to trim the trees correctly and remove the stump. The utilities had to be notified for the stump to removed, and three weeks later, that still wasn't done (legally the tree service had to contact them as they were contracted to do the work). On July 13, [redacted] called to say they would be back on July 14 or 15 to remove the stump. One man showed up with a flat bed truck with a trailer and stump grinder attached. He didn't remove the grinder, backed onto my driveway, removed the stump, left a cavernous hole, and damaged my driveway. When I arrived home, I contacted [redacted], who directed me to [redacted]. She was extraordinarily rude, told me that their truck was not on my property, it wasn't hot outside, and that when my neighbor asked about having the debris cleaned up from his driveway, her response was, "We aren't in the business of cleaning up the neighborhood". She also told me I need to get new neighbors. The employee was only equipped with a red plastic snow shovel to clean up. When I explained that the temp that day was in the eighties, she said, "Oh, so now you're the Weather Channel?". I sent the payment by certified check, which sat in their PO box for 3 days. The owner called my house wanting to speak to me about payment, even though it had been received.Desired Settlement: Employees and owner to learn manners, professionalism and etiquette in customer service. Would have also preferred for the owner to offer to repair driveway damage incurred by their truck at the time of stump removal. [redacted] hung up the phone on me during our "discussion". Owner, Mr. [redacted], never called me to discuss. Certified letter sent directly to him outlining my concerns, no response given.
