Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] Yes if I would of been approached by the company [redacted] prior to this point (going to the Revdex.com and small claims court) I would of worked with him on getting the damage fixed - even if I had to lay out additional funds, but knowing that this had NEVER happened I am now taken additional steps - such as taken him to small claims court to recoup some of the cash that I paid to FM Contractors.: I was clear on my next steps in my letter that I sent him (Certified mail) in March 2015, but again I did not receive any form of response In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

I am responding to this complaint again and I really don't understand what the gentlemen wants from meI have explained the situation and the gentlemen says he wants me to reduce the work and will pay for it?? The gentlemen is taking me to small claims court also? I find the gentlemens reply very contradicting and confusing

I did read the response from FM construction - I am not clear on the photos that he is referring to but I have attached photos of what patio and sidewalk looked like this winter. yes - after going through my records there was one conversation over the phone on this matter, but this conversation does not excuse the the poor quality of workmanship and to use "Acts of God" as an excuse??I live in a neighborhood where many of my neighbors have cement driveways and patios and do not have the issues that I have.Again - this tells me that the quality of workmanship is extremely low.In addition I do understand (about the out of business) his statement - " I and every other contractor out there would be out of business if we guaranteed work due to acts of god" but I did not get any kind of response that he would access the damage and work with me on correcting it - even if I had to pay for the additional services : I received NO response and this only proves to me that he is not a professional business man.Thank you,[redacted]

I did respond to the home[redacted]s complaint on January 2013. I have photos that can be emailed to you and there was no damage due to "shotty work". I spoke with the home[redacted] and told him the following. "The winter of 2012/13 did do its wear and tear to the ground. The ground freezes and expands due...

to weather related conditions and the ground does lift and move. Which will cause concrete or blacktop to crack and bricks to move and lift. Acts of God are out of my control". I and every other contractor out there would be out of business if we guaranteed work due to acts of god. Three years have passed and Long Island has had extreme subfreezing winters again acts of God. The flaking on the top of the concrete is due to excess salt use. I tell all my Customers to use sand not salt. Salt is a corrosive chemical compound and will deteriorate surfaces over time. You can [redacted] this and numerous websites will provide you this information. As for the home[redacted]s complaint of poor quality cement I purchase my cement from [redacted], Inc. located in [redacted]. This is the same concrete that was used on his relatives driveway in Oceanside, NY. Which is still in perfect condition. [redacted], Inc. can provide you with any information you may need to insure its quality of cement is top grade.

Review: In March 2012 I contracted with FM Construction to complete numerous masonary projects and the job was completed in May 2012. In January of 2013 I discovered that the cement panels in the patio has lifted and shifted. Knowing of this issue contacted the [redacted] ( [redacted]) on numerous occcassions, but recieved no response or coorection of the issue. Approximately three years later I now need to replace a a majority of the work that I previously paid ** Construction over 11K. The main issues were - the patio cement panels continued to lift/slide and crack : the pavers sunk as the cement lifted. The cement walkway did not only crack in numerous places but the cement is crumbling and is un repairable. After talking to ther masonarys it seems that besides ** doing shotty work that they are using poor quality cement, so they are able to retian a higher profit. In addition I discovered that this company does not have a license to work in [redacted] which was not made clear to me by the [redacted] of the business. This company license should e revoked and not allowed to continue business in any fashion.Desired Settlement: I am lloking to be refunded for the cost, so I am able to put this refund to the repairs
