The company failed to honor the agreement to refrain from reporting the account to my credit report if I made on time continuous monthly payments.
In February 11, 2014 I was notified of a debt from a clinic. As soon as I received this information I reached out to the clinic which gave me Frost Arnett's contact information, I spoke to a representative, updated my contact information and made arrangements to pay. Within a few days, to my surprise, the debt was on my credit. I contacted the collection agency who told me "my account would reflect paid as agreed" and it would be "okay" as long as I made my monthly payments moving forward. I asked them to verify the payment information and address on file and requested that a new letter (stating our payment plan agreement and debit agreement) be sent to me, for which they have not. After making three payments totaling 674.70 (from my initial balance of 2274.70) I discovered that they were reporting my account as derogatory and extremely late. I called again and they said that this was not their fault and that I should contact the reporting bureau to revise how the information they provided was reported. I asked them if I could make the payment in full and have those previous derogatory remarks updated or to have them remove the debt but I was met with nothing but nonchalant/unhelpful from the agent AND her supervisor. I attempted to resolve it with other agents, but I kept getting the run around. Now my credit is damaged because of something I am trying to pay. Again, I received NO written correspondence to this matter. I have tried multiple times to resolve this over the past few months, but every time I am met with an unwillingness to help. Since I have been trying to take care of the matter I demand that I am contacted by a person with the ability to make things happen and that action be taken.
