An electrical junction box was broken in our dining room. First American sent an electrician to inspect it, but then denied the claim, saying it required a "modification" of the junction box from a plastic to a metal box, rather than a "replacement" and that "replacing" it was against code. I then contacted two independent contractors who said there was no such code. One of the contractors sent an electrician who replaced the junction box with another plastic box.
