Review: I contacted Enotria because they came highly recommended by my internet searches. Reviews were great, so I called to purchase gift card for dinner for my daughter and son-in-law's first wedding anniversary. I called 1/10/2014 and talked to a gal who explained to me what thehy offered. I only wanted to spend $75.00 and she said that woukd be great. I asked if they could send the gift card to my daughter and her husband which they did 1/13/14 and was received on 1/15/14. Friday the 17th they called to make reservations only to hear on the phone they had closed their doors effective 1/15/2014. They had to have known on Friday this was going to happen yet still took my credit card information and credited my card with the $75.00. No other exsplaination, I have tried to contract the owner only to find out he is from Nevada and has several business dealings there as well. His name is [redacted]. His advertisement is still showing taking reservations for Valentive's day?Desired Settlement: Because I have a very strong feeling that he knew he was going to be closing his doors, yet still took my credit card information, is not very honest. I would like to be informed about a credit back to my credit card for this "Going out of Business" fiasco asap. I wonder how many other individuals he has done this to.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. In response to the complaint filed by [redacted], I would like to offer our sincerest apologies that no one has contacted her. Although upper management was aware of the possibility of a closure, when the final word came down it was done swiftly and with no knowledge to the rest of the staff. The staff was notified on January 15th of the closure and had no way of knowing when they sold the gift card on January 13th that the restaurant would not be open to honor this purchase. It was our sincerest hope that the closure would not take place and therefore we continued to plan out events for our guests for the upcoming months. All gift cards were sold with the best of intentions and we regret that anyone feels this was done with any sort of malicious intent. I have been informing customers who call in with questions about this matter, Enotria will be reopening as an Event Venue and we are in the process of putting together some public events and wine sales. They will be able to use their gift cards at these events. However, for those who do not wish to participate in our upcoming public events, we are more than happy to provide a refund. We ask that they mail back the gift cards to our restaurant with their contact information and date of purchase so we may process their refunds. Enotria has always been known in the community for maintaining the highest standards and I hope this information is helpful in a quick resolution of this matter.
