[redacted] completed the service call to Mr [redacted] (WO# ***) on 6/15/I was given the system replacement request tech sheet he had filled out the next morning [redacted] told me that [redacted] was interested in getting a quote on replacing the coil and if one could not be located he wanted to get an estimate on a new heat pump.As is my standard procedure, I called Mr [redacted] around 10:am to talk to him myself and initiate a dialog about his optionsAs soon I told him who I was, he said that he had found a coil on line and wanted to know if we would put it in for him and how much It would costI told him we could install it for him as a new service call, i.e$trip charge and $per hour plus the cost of the refrigerant but we would not be able to warranty the coilI ask him for the number of the coil he had found so I could verify that it was the correct oneHe said didn't have that number but that he was sure it would workI told him that I needed the number before we scheduled a service call because if it wasn't the correct replacement that we would not install it When he insisted on scheduling a service call, I told him if I did and it was the wrong coil when we got there that we would not install it and he would be charged for the callHe said he'd get the number and call me back Later that day I called him again to see if he had the coil numberHe then said that he was going to get a buddy of his to put it in for him[redacted]
