Review: I had a wedding planned in the Cape for the weekend of 08/11/12 and they were going to do the bridal parties hair and makeup. Unfortunately my brother (the best man) had a [redacted] July 18, 2012 and we were not sure if he was going to make it, and he has had 3 [redacted] surgeries since being admitted into the hospital.

My first contact was by phone to [redacted] on July 26, 2012 (1:05 p.m. - AZ time) and I was told the owner was not in.

List of calls and an email made to [redacted]: The times below are AZ time (Pacific Time)

Friday - July 27, 2012 - 12:51 p.m. - I was told "Owner not in"

Tuesday - July 31, 2012 - 1:45 p.m.. - I was told "Onwer not in - out of town"

Monday - August 6, 2012 - 8:08 a.m. - Left voicemail - no call back.

Monday - August 6, 2012 - 2:04 p.m. - I was told "Owner not in - out of town"

Tuesday - August 7, 2012 - 7:41 a.m. - Left voicemail - no call back.

Tuesday - August 7, 2012 - 12:21 p.m. - I was told the owner is not in.

Wednesday - August 8, 2012 - 10:10 a.m. - I was told the owner is not in.

Wednesday - August 8, 2012 - 11:19 a.m. - sent an email with a letter from my brothers Doctor stating [redacted] has had 2 [redacted] surgerys to day. (As of August 2, 2012).

Thursday - August 9, 2012 - 12:43 p.m. - I was told I would get a call later today.

Thursday - August 9, 2012 - 3:40 p.m. - Owner's secetary called me and told me the following, "it's to late to cancel and they would not refund my money"

I was never told of a cancellation policy and they had plenty of time to re-book for other hair appointments or beauty services that they offer, but they refuse to do that. The owner of [redacted] played the dodge game with me and refused to cancel my appointment.

I had also emailed a letter to the owner from my brother's [redacted] surgeon stating my brother has had 2 [redacted] surgeries since being admitted into the hospital on July 18, 2012. Since the date of the letter, my brother has had another [redacted] surgery. I would be happy to forward that email to the Revdex.com if you so desire.Desired Settlement: We do plan on rebooking our wedding, but due to [redacted] unprofessional conduct in this matter I would not feel comfortable using this hair salon to do the bridal parties hair, make up, pedicures or manicures. I just want to be re-imbursed the down payment of $291.00.

We at Egadz were very troubled to hear the news about this brides brother. The owner unfortunetly was out of town and was dealing with her own family medical issues. We apologize for this matter not being solved immediately. The owner had spoken to the venue this bride was going to get married at and was informed that they were going to hold her deposit and apply the amount when she was ready to get married, and decided to do the same. Then the abusive, rude, name calling, phone calls began. Unfortunetly, this brides behavior left us no choice, but to cease all contact. We wish her a nothing but the best. And just a note, she called her credit company and got her money, so we are confused as to why she filed this complaint to begin with.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint.

I have not idea what they are talking about regarding abusive behavior, I told them they were heartless and had no regard for people. If they consider that to be bad behavior so be it. I already filed a dispute with my credit card company and there was no response from them and I received my money back. Since it has passed the legal timeframe for them to continue the dispute with the credit card company I consider this matter closed. Also just to point out, it's funny how it took them almost 10 months or so to respond to this complaint. Very bad business sense in my eyes.

We at Egadz never disputed your refund from your credit card company. As, I said before, we discussed with your wedding venue, and thought that we would also, hold your deposit and when you were ready to get married, we would apply the deposit to your total. After your remarks.."I HATE CAPE COD, I AM NEVER GETTING MARRIED THERE!" I thought it was best not to fight your credit card dispute and let you be on your way.. I hope your brother is well, and we wish you a long and happy marriage.
