The doctor's office owes me money from over charging me for services before they were rendered. I/[redacted], presented our insurance card and they refused to accept it and made us pay cash to see the doctor. We waited a month for this appointment and needed medication refill within a few days so we could not refuse to see the doctor. They refused to provide [redacted] or I with the diagnostic and CPT codes to self file for insurance. They are a provider for [redacted] and insisted that our insurance was HMO and instead of charging $40 for a specialist, if that were the case, they charged me $120 which is over their contracted agreement rate with [redacted] was seen on [redacted] and [redacted] for the same CPT. [redacted] tried to provide them with a release form so that they could speak to me since the refused to speak to me about this billing matter and they refused to take it. I mailed [redacted] complaint and demand for payment they owe me that was overcharged for these two visits with a copy of the insurance card, and two releases signed by [redacted]. They ignored my letter. When [redacted] tried to call on numerous occasions they refused to speak to them at first and then told the insurance company that we were cash pay and never presented them with an insurance card. The [redacted] visit did not have the insurance card due to my insurance company, [redacted], adding [redacted], to my insurance since he had a life crisis so they reinstated him for that back date but Dr. [redacted] staff (Dr. D's Urgent care staff) refused to listen to me or bill the insurance company for this service. "[redacted]", who is the head of the doctor's staff provided me with a wrong code for one of the office visits so I was not reimbursed a correct rate when I self submitted to [redacted]. They owe me money and I want my money. I have filed a complaint with the Tx Medical Board against this doctor's staff. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
