Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12209757, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

I went to this used car dealer hoping to buy a van. The owners, a couple, Jess & I think Mike, seemed nice at first. They said they had a van they could sell but it wasn't on the lot and if I came back later, they'd bring it to the lot. So I did so. They were driving it on the lot when I returned. This was a 1999 Honda Odyssey. They let me test drive it by myself and the first thing I noticed was the van's gas tank was basically on empty. I knew this was strange but took it to a gas station and put $5 in it. And then I noticed a check engine light was on. Not wanting to buy it, I took it back to Downtown Motors and nicely said the check engine light was on. Mike, the owner, put it on a handheld computer and it read exhaust inefficient bank 1. He said it's the o2 sensor and it wouldn't cost more than $70 to fix -- but kept insisting it didn't even need to be fixed. I found this not appropriate and not even correct. I had a problem with a previous vehicle with the check engine light and I know it's very costly to have a o2 sensor put on or to have the catalytic converter replaced, and I nicely tried to tell him so -- but he become very (over the top) argumentative and hostile. His wife also become very hostile and even told me to stick it up my [redacted] as she walked away. They were like children throwing a temper tandrum because I didn't want to buy a car with a dash light on. It was very inappropriate and 360 degree change from how they were before. I now think they knew about the dash light and reset it so it would go away -- and the person who test drove it wouldn't see it -- which explains why it was brought to me (to test drive) with gas tank being empty. They obviously didn't want me to drive it far and see the check engine light was on. I believe they're both fraud, and people need to be aware that this seemingly nice couple will totally flip and act lowlife if you don't buy their car -- when you discover there's a dash light on. I believe they will continue trying to sell this car -- resetting the dash light so it goes off -- and never tell anyone who test drives it that the check engine light comes on. I know that when the check engine stays on that means a repair NEEDS to be made -- or the car will keep losing power -- and this repair isn't cheap. They offered to come down on the price $200 before I test drove the car, but the cost of fixing it would be more, and I don't appreciate the lack of honest or the bs they told me regarding this check engine light -- which stays on and the van needs to be repaired. They tried to downplay this and say it didn't have to be fixed and then acted lowlife and hostile when I tried to calmly say I didn't want it. I believe they are fraud and try to sell cars they know are in need of repair. I believe they reset the dash lights so people don't see it when they test drive it -- and this is a scam. They totally wasted my time. I went there twice on a city bus in 90 degree temperature because I wrongly thought they were honest people. I don't think they are. Prospective buyers need to know this nice couple will act low life and act completely inappropriate if you don't buy their car -- that is in need of repair -- which I think they knew about to start off with.
