Review: On December **, 2013, the cashier in the store overcharged me by $4400.00. I had made a purchase of $13.32. I signed the receipt and did not notice the error. When I checked my account on the [redacted]of December I found $4400 missing. I immediately called my bank and was advised that the fastest way to rectify this situation was to go to the store and contest the charge. I returned to the store that same night spoke with the [redacted] who stated that there was nothing he could do. I therefore called my bank who spoke with the [redacted], confirmed that the overcharge was an error and $4400 was credited back to my account. I paid the $13.32 in cash. However, the store never reversed the charge from their end and the money was removed from my account again. I went back to the store, called my bank and the money was credited back to my account again. Since my money was returned, I thought there was nothing else I had to do. Unbeknownst to me, however, the store failed to once again reverse the charge. My bank had never advised me that the money they credited my account was a conditional credit and the debited my account for the $4400 I was erroneously charged and my account was overdrawn. When I called my bank, a bank representative advised me that there was nothing they can do. When I called the vendor with a bank representative, he again confirmed that the $4413.32 charged was an error, and that he would call his bank to credit my money back to me. For the last two weeks I have been in constant communication with my bank and the store and after having been assured by the [redacted] and the store owner (with a bank representative on another line) that I would be refunded my money, the store has failed to do so. I am now penniless and being charged overdraft fees by my bank. I called the store today and was advised by the [redacted] that I have to wait. It is important to note that throughout this time, the [redacted] has confirmed time and again that it was a store error and that their bank would rectify the situation. In addition, while at the store, the [redacted] showed me several other instances where customers were charged erroneously and a vendor who appeared to know the owner very well assured me that it would be taken care of because he was a trustworthy individual. However, this has proven not to be the case.Desired Settlement: I would like my money returned as soon as possible. This represents all of my disposible cash.
