Within the first month of moving in, it was brought to my attention by another tenant that the property is not secure (although it's advertised as secured locked lobby). Not only will almost any key open the front lobby door, but my apartment key not only opened my apartment - but my neighbors apartment as well. Although they "fixed" my issue, a formal investigation into other tenants keys was never done - therefore there is no way of knowing if other tenants keys open apartments that aren't theirs. The "higher ups" in the company seem to lack professionalism & don't seem to take serious problems seriously (security issues should be a TOP priority).

It is now my 3rd month living here & I'm experiencing a major carpenter ant infestation - still to be rectified.

I have been a tenant here going on 3 years. Each year my lease is up the rent has increased $10 along with 2 of my neighbors. This year my neighbors rents were increased another $10 and it stated it was due to such a high turnover rate in the complex. Although my rent and one other tenants was increased $25! When I confronted the corporate office about this their grasping for straws excuses were ridiculous! They stated that each unit is different because of the varying floor plans...well my neighbor has a 3 bedroom apartment with the same layout and amenities as my 2 bedroom yet they were only charged $10 more. They decided to do a month to month and were told their increase would be $25. My month to month is now increased to $50 more each month. My other neighbor has the same square footage and layout with the exception of a stackable washer and dryer in his unit and was also only charged a $10 increase. When brought to their attention their excuse was that new tenants with the same apartment as I have been charged the $25 increase immediately. I have been a faithful and good tenant for 3 years now and have accepted the $10 increases each year without complaint. This has gone too far. Charging me and other loyal tenants over double the increase is not a fair practice. Discriminating at best. I am not responsible for your mismanagement and being unable to keep tenants, or allowing tenants to move in that obviously realize they can't afford your constant increases and poor quality apartments. They look very nice until you move in and start realizing the poor quality versus the price. This corporation has realized that there is not alot of decent housing in this area and have therefore proceeded to line their pockets with "on the surface" so called quality living. I am very disappointed in this companies practices. I also had a similar situation as the other review on here had. I was given a key that I soon discovered fit random other apartments in this complex! Six other units to be exact! I quickly notified the manager and they switched my lock and gave me new keys. I am curious how many other tenants have the same issue. I was also made aware that management decides when to turn the boilers on and off for the in floor heat. Several nights in the spring it was still quite chilly and couldn't figure out why my heat wasn't working until I was informed of what they do. Not something they notify you of when you move in. On several occasions they have overcharged on the water bill and had to reimburse us. We have no access to the meters for each apartment to check for ourselves. I will not recommend this business to anyone in the future.
