We are sincerely apologetic regarding this entire incident. We had indeed cancelled this reservation when we were contacted by the guest, but one of our newly hired employee later mistakenly reinstated the cancelled reservation and it then went on to be charged as a no show since the guest did not...

After Investigating into this matter and the employee In question has admitted that the reinstatement of this reservation was indeed made in error.We make It a practice to put the needs of our guests before anything else and we always do whatever we can in order to make their stay with us a positive one. We have processed the refund immediately after being contacted about the guest regarding the charges made to their card. This is something that has never happened before and we will ensure through proper training that it will not happen in futureagain.
Review: On Friday March 6th, Myself, my friend and my daughter stayed one night at the Days Inn. Upon waking up this morning, we were all shocked to find we were all bitten and covered in bite marks. We combed through the bed and I found a red bug which resembles a bedbug. And also found blood in the sheets. We took pictures and immediately advised the front desk. He did not seem shocked nor surprised by the discovery.Desired Settlement: We are requesting a refund and also for this to be forwarded to the dept of health because this hotel needs to be shut down. This is not acceptable.
Review: I made a reservation at saidd business and cancelled the reservation the following day. I was told that I had up to 24 hours in advance of my reservation to cancel without charge or penalty. I made this reservation two weeks in advance, and as I have stated cancelled it the following day.
I recieved my credit card billing statement and a charge for $81.99 from the Days Inn Newark, was billed to me. I contacted Days Inn Newark, who advised that they could not find a reservation, after searching they advised that I did not cancel my reservation and was charged for the one night. I again informed them that I did cancel the reservation! I advised a Mr. [redacted] that I would contact the Delaware State police and report it as theft not until then did he relent and advise he would credit the account.
It is my belief that this is SOP for this place of business, and not until the mention of law enforcement are they willing to refund money that they have actually stolen.Desired Settlement: To be credited the amount illegally charged to my credit card, and a investigation into the business practices of this hotel.
