Dale Gretzon Masonry Construction

Review: On June 9, 2014, I signed a contract with Dale Gretzon Masonry Construction to have cement work done on my patio. The contract states that you must send a deposit of half of the project amount as a down payment. I mailed the $700 dollar check with the contract on June 9, 2014. I have contacted Mr. [redacted] on two occasions (once in July and one in August) to find out when the work would start. After my August call, I got a call back and was told the job would be started in about three weeks. Around the middle of September I, again, called to find out when the work would start and was again told three weeks. I waited a month and have been calling Mr. [redacted] and have left numerous messages but I have not heard back from him. I do have a copy of the contract and my cancelled check.Desired Settlement: I would like the work completed but am afraid that by making a complaint that the work will not be done properly. If nothing else, I would like my deposit ($700) back.

Review: [redacted] and his crew did masonry work on our window ledges at our house. We gave him the full payment ($380.00). He also informed us that if there were any concerns, that he would come back to fix them. This information was given to us verbally and on paper. He failed to do the correct work on one of our windows and he made a window ledge slope the opposite way that it is supposed to. Rain now comes in to the window area, rather than away from the house. We realized this problem after him and his crew had left. However, we called and left messages more than eight times and even went to the location that he put on his business card. It is the incorrect location, and he has not called us back. sDesired Settlement: [redacted] needs to come to our house and correct his work. Also, we would appreciate an apology.
