The manager is very rude! I got my rear window tinted then the key fob on my mercedez stop working. I spent $400 at the dealership to diagnose the issue with a broken antenna due to the tinting. It will cost a lot more to fix the issue. I went there to talk to this manager and he treated me with utter disrespect. He came out so defensive and angry..... it was mind boggling. As if I have no right to come and report that issue. I called again to talk to him and he acctually hanged up on me. Well I guess I have no choice than to go through the court if I cannot get common respect as a customer.

+1

I had my windows tinted and paint protection applied to my new Ford Escape today. Great service from the purchase to application which took less time than I anticipated. This our fourth vehicle at D&L and we also had our house windows done. Always excellent service and work! Great team at D&L White Marsh. My car looks fantastic!!

Did not qualify the customer after given facts. Accused of being abusive to females at office. Possible bait and switch.

Two weeks ago, I went to D&L to get my windows tinted. As I was speaking to [redacted], I told her I just moved to Baltimore and bought a car in New Jersey and wanted to get the windows tinted. So it was very CLEAR that I was not familiar with the Maryland MVA rules regarding tint laws. She explained that 35% is legal and I could put darker tint behind the driver and front passenger area of the wagon. She asked me if I wanted a warranty and asked for some time to think about it, she said ok I could come back later and get it. Had the work done and they were fast and concise. The Amount was $297.

I had to get a MVA Inspection and and I failed due to the tint. What [redacted] failed to inform of is that putting 35% tint will not pass a light meter test since the glass is already tinted from the factory glaze at 4% (this put me at 31% for the front two windows and 16% for the rear). Total Fail. My disappointment starts here, why didnt she ask if I had already been inspected? She knew the car was from NJ? She also never mentioned the factory glaze at 4% and how that would effect the light reading if ever tested? Hoover's say they have been in business since 1993, would this not have come up 20 years of operations?

I called on July 2, 2013 and spoke with [redacted] and she was very nice and apologetic. She kept asking if I purchased the warranty. I reminded her that she said I could come back and purchase it at a later time. She said I come back and they would do it at a discounted rate.

Showed up July 3rd, with another lady at the desk (and another secretary was there.) She pulled up my inofrmation and I explained the situation. She called [redacted] to verify and then what [redacted] had told me the day earlier was different. Now they are saying that they would give me a discount if I prepaid on getting the car re-tinted. Otherwise it was $150. I was shocked, I felt like they were not honest and the young lady agreed with me. I asked why [redacted] changed her story and why she didn't pre qualify me. She had no answer and said she had been there 10 years and only had that happen once before. I said, "I am not trying to be a A$$, but that is wrong!" The lady then accused me of being rude to the lady's and that I was abrasive. Up until that point, I had only bee asking questions? I paid the $150 and began to wait. The lady was leaving and I apologized to her if she thought I was rude. The lobby was full of adult men, and I told her that if I was out of line, then someone here would have at least said something. NO ONE DID! She shook my hand and then proceeded to publicly rebuke me in the lobby and say, "you have your health, your parents are alive - its just window tint - sit down and relax." She completely blew up the situation and played victim. Totally unprofessional.

The service for the detailing at a cost of $149.00 is inferior and not complete. The owner told me that is would be a complete detail, best package.
I moved here from TX where the allowance of a degree of darkness is higher than the allowance her in MD. I took my vehicle, a 2007 Corvette, to D&L Tinting for the tinting to be removed for the passing of the MVA inspection. The tinting was removed. On 11-20-2010,I returned for the allowed re-application that was performed by D&L Tinting. The owner asked me if I would be interested in having my vehicle detailed and explained the 3 different packages/degree of detailing to me. I chose the complete detail package for the $149.00. I left my vehicle there on the premises because I was informed that the detailing would take 1.5 hrs. I returned that evening to pick up my vehicle. It was in a unlit auto bay and it was dark outside. The following day XX-XX-XX I inspected the car and found a gum wrapper between the seat and the console, running liquid marks on the inside of the passenger side door (owner later explained it is from the baby shampoo used to bring the tinting film in contact with the glass. The passenger side window was also smeared by the baby shampoo. There are also wax spray marks on the outside of the vehicle where the spray wax was not properly and thoroughly applied and distributed. There is still sand in the tracks of the coupe hatch back. The door jams were not cleaned. the tail pipes were not wiped down or cleaned/polished. The detailing was not as explained. I had searched for reading or literature on the $149.00 detailed package and was not available I questioned the owner. As he explained it would be "everything" with two coats of wax. I returned on XX-XX-XXXX to bring these matters to his attention. He was extremely rude and defensive. He used extensive body language. When he pointed his finger in my face I had asked him not to do so, again. He told me leave and not come back. I left the premises. I tried to reconcile by calling the office manager on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The office manager informed me that she would speak to the owner. She called me and informed me that the owner does not want to correct the inferior detailing nor return the money.
