[redacted] founder, owner and sole employee of D & E Bookkeeping & Tax / D & E Accounting and Tax, one in the same, abused her trusted position as our financial agent to control AR & AP accounts, taxes and payroll for my company. Mrs [redacted] wrote unauthorized checks to herself for thousands of dollars. She also went to extremes to hide the fact that she was embezzling company money. Mrs [redacted] intentionally entered erroneous information into our accounting program and in effect made accurate filing of our taxes next to impossible. In addition, she stole our valued customers credit card information and created phony invoices in order to collect money she could then access. Mrs [redacted] also attached PAID receipts to our vendors and utility bills including our taxes which all went unpaid. I became
aware of this after discovering overdraft charges in my account. An internal audit revealed Mrs. [redacted] pattern of theft began immediately after being hired.
