Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was never told to bring the vehicle in, what I was told was that I bought it as is I am home sick and you are bothering me if you think I am going to fix the vehicle, you are barking up the wrong tree At that point, We hung up the phone However, If they had done the maintenance that should be done on any vehicle sold by a dealer the SUV would not have died within miles of driving it They would have known the water pump was no good, both ball joints in the front are bad, the right front bearing needs work, the left fog light does not work nor does the plate lightsThe thermostat also did not work and there was no anti-freeze in the vehicle I have already paid in repairs just to get the truck running and I still need to pay another for the rest of the workI have the receipt for the and I have the failed inspection notice My mechanic stated that to have the ball joints replaced, the right front bearing fixed, the fog light replaced and the plate lights replaced plus labor would be an additional $This work needs to be done before the vehicle can pass the safety inspectionI do not think it is fair that they sale cars that are not checked and hold no responsibility for what they sale Even if the car has over 200,miles they deemed it to be sale-able to their customersNo one buys a vehicle and expects it to run for less than a day, especially from a dealer, Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I m including pictures that show obviously the valve cover was never removed because when replacing a valve cover a quality mechanic would take the time to clean it and the bolts to prevent further damage or the possibility of damage - if this dealer put this vehicle on his diagnostic machine why is there no print out stating it passed cts emission test also if he checked all sensors he would have noticed the oil pressure sensor was bad and in removing the valve cover this would have been knocked offIf he change the valve cover he would have a receipt from the store purchased with the date 02/07/- I would ask this be provided as well to prove he changed itI will also be sending a report from my neighborhood mechanic about issues with this vehicleI am also going to file a complaint with the ct dmv for bad dealer practicesI would be more than happy to have at least my $dollars returned by cash as I paid and that would resolve my issue totallyThis dealer would need to either [redacted] me the funds or deliver the funds to a public location in my town as I had to travel to himThis is a fair an honest complaint and the resolution is simpleMy main concer first and foremost is this dealers practices can lead to some ones death or injury even an unsuspecting motorist he may be hit by bad vehicles this dealer sellsI think it would be noble and this business would do whats rightI really hope this doesn't happen to any one but im sure when it does some one will file a wrong full death suit against themRefunding my purchase price is a much nobler optionIn my opinion this bsuinesses rating should be an f From: [redacted] Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 4:PM To: Revdex.com Subject: complaint number [redacted] Hello this email is in regards to ct car co llc and my complaint number of [redacted] After filing a complaint against ct car co llc they have been calling my wife and harassing her and threatening to write bad publicity adds about my own companyI did post an add on craigslist warning consumers to not use his business because he sells bad vehicles and I am not going to accept harassment and items such as this especially to haras my wife - I don't care if he bad mouths my business because our reputation speaks for itselfI do have a problem with [redacted] harassing my wife and threating to call my home every day because that is a big problemYou might want to inform him that retaliating about a complaint is against the law and I will have him arrested or what ever it takes to stop him from harassing my family

Bought my car ( [redacted] ) on Thursday of last week...When I test drove it, and drove it home it was fineNo problems whatsoever Come to find out, THE NEXT DAY (after driving miles to work) it has problems shifting from fist to second gear, also periodically it feels like I’m driving on a rumble strip, the car smells like pure coolant after driving for a bit then parked, and the car bucks and rpms go downthis happens at various speeds, and at various timesI called the shop and was told to bring it down so they can look at itSo brought it down on Feb 27th at 10:00am as told to The owner Brian had told me to leave it with them and they will have it fixed and looked over Told them about this issue and gave them a VERY DETAILED list! They did end up replacing the lower front ball joints as requested like they said they would, which I thank them for and for also not charging me to do soHOWEVER, they did not test drive the vehicle, nor did they fix ANY

Customer and business have reached a mutual agreementReplacement vehicle providedBoth parties satisfied

This business is a scam Sold me a car knowing it was a lemonI got maybe miles from my house and my engine light came onWas told by another mechanic that most likely it been on and they /the dealer just turned it off temporary with their machinesweeks late I go to register itWhen going for inspection I find out the whole entire sub frame and radiator frame was rotted outSo they literally let me drive off the lot knowing there was NO radiator support .meaning the radiator and more could have fell out on me! That same day my muffler snapedSpent a lil over a thousand dollars for a nissian altima that was completely trash! Don't ever go thereStay away

As you acknowledged in your letter, we have repeatedly asked to see the vehicle but you will not produce itYou instead went out on your own to fix it and want something done after the factAs you have never been to our dealership once, and we have never met, nor have we seen the vehicle or any documentation since it was delivered to you free of charge, we are at a loss as to how you would like to proceed

Your reason for not purchasing the $ [redacted] was due to an imperfection in the sound quality of the rear speakers, nothing that would prevent a reasonable person from following through with saleNo lies were toldWe are however more than glad to refund your $depositAs per our phone converstaion, please by all means come back up for a full refund in personI cannot speak on behalf of [redacted] *** as to their method of returning charges but it is out of our hands at this pointI would be more than glad to write you a check and fully reimburse you if you would like to returnWe are certainly not giving anyone the run aroundCome up any of the days a week we are open for your checkThanks - CT Car Co LLC

I purchased a Jeep Liberty at CT car co on or about August 3, The car was purchased as is, at the price of plus taxWhen I went to get the vehicle to bring it home, the manager was on the phone with the owner about a customer who was angry and he had locked out of the officeHe informed me he may be calling the police on themI noticed on the way home the radio, passenger side window and rear window did not workI figured those were relatively small problems, and decided I would have them fixed locallyAfter driving the car for weeks, it began smoking, but the heating sensor indicated no issueCoolant was addedA few days later the car began to overheatFinally, it broke down on the side of the road and would not start back upI called the manager and he said he would fix it if I could get it to him, he would look at itI explained I was a student, on disability and I had borrowed the money for the carI literally had no money for basics, let alone to get t

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: This dealer has not contacted me at all since I made the first complaint to them about the vehicle breaking down the first day I purchased The only response I received from them was that I bought the vehicle as is Yes, you have never met me, I bought the car over the internet and was told on the phone that it was in excellent condition and that I need to act fast because other were interested I trusted your company because it was established and family owned I thought that you would stand by your vehicle The truck is again in the shop for the heater coil to the rear So far I have paid out dollars and still have another worth of work to be done before I take it through emissions again be because it fail for safetyYou did deliver the truck free of charge on a flat bedWhich was fortunate for you but not for me because it would have broke down and never made it to my home and you would have had to repaired it before you delivered if you had driven it What I want is for you to tell the truth that you have never contacted me since you said it was my problem and I want to be reimbursed for all the money I have had to put into this vehicle You stated that there is no lemon law in Connecticut when I asked but you would think that you would stand by you vehicle for at least days Once I get the car put the shop for the second time there is still work that needs to be done Once I have had all the work completed at a discounted rate because the repair shop felt bad that I was sold a car that was neglected by the dealer and show you the fail report and the pass report from emissions, I would like to be refunded

We replaced *** ball joints upon request, free of chargeWe checked her transmission fluid, which was full, and there were no coolant leaks upon visual inspectionHer vehicle has 146k Miles on it and is most likely due for a transmission service*** admitted she has a "friend" at
*** who pressure tested her cooling system without her consentAny cooling issues she has should be taken up with ***The vehicle was sold "AS-IS" which the CT State Law for vehicles purchased under $3,or older than YearsThere is no exception to the law for herWe have done as much as we are willing to do, and do not wish to go any further with this issue, due to CT state Law

I purchased a vehicle “as is” from this dealership having been told that all of the issues I had pointed out upon buying would be fixed before being sold to meThe problems were not fixedThe muffler they told me they were going to replace had tape put over the rusted holes until the exhaust eventually fell off while I was driving, causing the piece that is in charge of the reverse gear to break, resulting in my car being unable to back out of spacesThe transmission was slipping a month into owning the vehicle and I was told if I had the fluid flushed, it would kill the transmission completelyI had to spend more money fixing minor issues on a car I spent $3,for only to find out I had thousands of dollars of issues needing to be repaired in order to drive safelyThe car is now unable to be driven and I haven’t even had it months

Bought my car (*** *** ***) on Thursday of last week...When I test drove it, and drove it home it was fineNo problems whatsoever
Come to find out, THE NEXT DAY (after driving miles to work) it has problems shifting from fist to second gear, also periodically it feels like I’m driving on a rumble strip, the car smells like pure coolant after driving for a bit then parked, and the car bucks and rpms go downthis happens at various speeds, and at various timesI called the shop and was told to bring it down so they can look at itSo brought it down on Feb 27th at 10:00am as told to The owner Brian had told me to leave it with them and they will have it fixed and looked over Told them about this issue and gave them a VERY DETAILED list! Customer purchased year old *** Intrepid with 150,000+ miles for $Dealer agreed to replace cosmetic non-essential plastic interior trim pieces per customer requestParts were special order from *** dealer onlyAt time of purchase Moday 2/it was agreed upon
between both buyer and seller car would be ready for delivery Thursday 2/to allow time for special order pieces to arriveDuring this time car was again safety checked and CT emissions testedTest driven by myself, the owner, personally on day of delivery. As stated by customer in person, oil warning light illuminated and car deceleratedCustomer continued driving down highway until car started smoking and she was forced to pull overIn our professional opinion, if customer pulled over when light first came on, this could have prevented car fireWe also feel customers heavy cigarette smoking could have contributed to fire. Our first concern upon speaking with them morning of 2/was their safety and well-beingWe were informed they were not harmed in any way, fortunatelyWe were also informed they were being compensated for loss by their car insurance companyWe informed customer they were not obligated to purchase another vehicle from our dealershipThey responded that they wanted to continue doing business with usThe owner and several sales people personally spent hours showing them several similar vehicles in their price range for them to purchase available for immediate deliveryThe *** Intrepid and registration paperwork were at a location unknown to her slowing the entire process. Car had not been brought back for us to see and still has not been seen by usCustomer found replacement vehicle suitable to her needsWe offered replacement vehicle to customer at greatly reduced price for her troubleWe explained we would obtain a sales tax credit and pay conveyance fee out of our pocket on replacement vehicleShe would keep all funds paid by her insurance company, but be required to pay portion of replacement vehicle costAt which point customer stated they planned to keep all insurance funds received for *** Intrepid, the car itself, and exepected another vehicle 100% free of chargeIt was explained at this point that this was not possibleCT Car Cois not at fault for total loss of *** Intrepid. Customer left in anger making threatsOwner later contacted customer and offered another similar vehicle, 1999 *** Sable, free of chargeCustomer stated they would think about it and get back to usWe have not had any further response from customerWe will take this complaint as their responseThe customer should expect their "desired settlement" of price of loss from their insurance company, as this is an insurance matterCustomer can also expect rental compensation from insurance company

Vehicle has never been brought to our licensed repair facilityCustomer has not made contact with our dealership, just send nasty emailsCustomer will not accept phone calls when trying to resolve matterHave all documentation for repair and emissions test, in compliance with CT state law for antique $***
