The bid was nearly double after design consultation due to an employee mistake. That employee has since been terminated. We were pressured to pay an additional $50,000 on the inflated bid. Only after we issued a “stop check” did Cook + Cline renegotiate the remodel. We agreed on $77,000 and have paid $73,468.57 leaving a balance of $3531.43. Repairing damage caused by Cook + Cline will costs more than what we owe.·      Cook + Cline did not provide negotiated services. Our agreement includes $3350 charged for design time. Finishing design was initiated, but not delivered when the designer was terminated.·      Cook + Cline sold us cabinets they could not make. They left a sample cabinet door that was not our choice hoping we wouldn’t notice. Only after pointing out the change to a Jr. employee did Mr. Cline communicate with us about the cabinets. Lack of communication made this feel like a “bait and swith.”·      Cook + Cline improperly installed gas and plumbing causing leaks from the range, toilet, sink/garbage disposal and dishwasher.
