Hi There,This client asked for a quote on a 24”x48" banner. When the order was submitted, the art and provided
stand required a significantly larger size of 31.75”x 69.25” resulting in a price increase. We do not produce this product in house so an outside estimate was required, but the client said there was an event he wanted it for and was expecting the price increase and I quote “Woah! I expected a bit more, thanks for the discount!”Client agreed and said on two different occasions he would be in to pay said invoice. Six months later, the invoice had still not been paid and that was when client decided he didn’t want to pay the invoice. After using the product for months, he offered to return it, but of course he has had it in his possession and been using it for those six months. ColorPro waived months of interest and fees and offered to give the client the banners at cost. If the issue had been addressed by the client in a more timely fashion, perhaps more could have been done. Our supplier had already closed out and paid franchise royalties on the banners they produced. Not only was this client under the impression that this was our error, but perhaps he gave us the incorrect dimensions in the first place to argue for better pricing! He was very rude and condescending when ColorPro was in fact very reasonable in offering the banners at cost. We can not pay the client to use our supplier’s product! He has even tracked down a previous employee on Facebook and harassed her regarding his order! Very unprofessional! I was ordering banners and quoted $eachWhen sizing changed I had asked for an updated quoteThere was no further communication until I was sent an invoice for $439.12, which they gave a discount where I owed $In nearly any other industry this would lead towards penalties, fines, and possible banningWhat happened is they reduced the cost to $312.62, and I’m stuck with paying for their mistakeThis I believe is similar to “bait and switch”I have all the emails detailing this

I am rejecting this response because:Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I am unaware of any event that I needed these for, the event mentioned was meeting at a luncheon to deliver the check normally to avoid conflict I write a check and just go about life without ever using a place againThese banners were an inquiry because it was an addition I wanted to add, but completely unnecessaryWhen I asked for a quote on the new sizes the next response was the invoice, 400% more than initially quoted I do expect it to be more since it was nearly double size, I did not think quadruple the costHad I been given the quote I certainly wouldn’t have gotten 2, Likely would’ve waited until it was more crucial to get I didn’t expect to walk away with free itemsI did expect ColorPro to absorb some of the error as all other companies and services I’ve discussed this with agree onI learned my mistake, I should’ve left the banners with them until this disputed was resolvedThey’ve since been sitting in their boxes unpackaged because they aren’t needed, just the excellent deal of $55ea was too good to pass upEven at $110ea it would’ve been a good deal to purchase I contacted the employee ColorPro said was on the account and where the error happenedThis is the first poor business interaction I’ve had and first time contacting other people involved has been seen as a negativeThere’s a lot of locals who want me to continue to fight this and hold companies accountable and think this isn’t rightWe both have our views on accountability and I don’t see this changingIt’s an annoyance I’d rather have written off early on and then just told people it was expensiveNow this ordeal turns into an expensive customer interactionThe banners are nice, they’re the same quality I’d expect from any placeI just wish I was able to make the call on price beforehandThis whole ordeal would’ve been avoided.There is no expectation to resolve this caseYou have your check and we can part waysHopefully we both learned from this mistakeI’ll work on how rude I am.Quote: We absolutely should have re-quoted with the correct size as 7’ is quite different than 4’ and that’s a number of square footage difference since that’s how these are billed.Regards, *** ***
