In May of we contracted with Coastal Landscape and Development to remove the grass in our backyard (Bermuda grass had started to grow in it and was taking over the StAugustine grass we had) and put down new sod We consulted with Woerner Turf and Landscape to ask how to get rid of the Bermuda and see if they could recommend someone to do the job for us Coastal Landscape was one of the companies they recommended, and after getting an estimate from one other source, we opted to go with them (plus the fact that was who Woerner had recommended) Everyone else we had talked to (including Woerner Turf) told us the only way to get rid of it was to kill it thoroughly and then dig it up and lay new sod Mr [redacted] assured us that he could get rid of it just by digging up the sodThe job was supposed to take about days to complete The day the job was started a whole truckload of sod was delivered to our house before anyone had even begun to dig the old grass up!!! When excavation of the old grass finally got underway, it took way longer than they estimated because "the employee doing the excavation work was new and hadn't been checked out before he started." By the time the grass that had been delivered got put down it had turned brown In addition, the project took more than weeks to complete plus an additional $4,from the initial estimate When Mr [redacted] left after the project completion he told us to call him if the Bermuda grass started to come back Well, a few weeks ago we noticed that it had indeed returned but when we called him, he told us it was a maintenance problem and that he would have somebody he knew at a lawn care company come out and take a look at it We never heard from anyone and repeated calls to Mr [redacted] have gone unanswered (plus we believe he has blocked our number from his phone.) We would never recommend this business to anyone
