I wanted to get my woofer and amp installed in my 08 [redacted] elantra, which was previously hooked up in another vehicle I own(and in perfect working order). I made an appointment with an associate for 9 a.m. Sun. Oct. 12, 2014. when I showed up at the shop the sign on the door said opens at ten a.m. so I waited an hour for an associate to arrive, when he let myself and other customers in, we formed a line of who arrived first. the associate helped those with "window tints" first, so after three people were assisted he apologized for my inconvenience, took my keys and got my information; when I inquired about when I should return to pick up my car, he said there was no time frame,& they wanted to give me quality service. I checked the closing time on door said four p.m. I returned at 4 p.m. sat in the waiting room till 4:30 when another worker told me they were having computer problems, that the car wasn't ready and they were super busy. they finally handed me my keys and received payment around 6:30pm. the car didn't sound quite like I'd hoped and I wanted to get more work done at a later time. when I checked out the car I noticed the wires in the back seat were wired in front of the seat belt(where my dog could chew them, or kid could pull out) rather than around and tucked out of the way, the hood release is broken, and my woofer is only hooked up to one side of the amp: causing it to get really hot. after the second day I had to disconnect the power from the battery for fear of it overheating or blowing out my amp, the awful smoke smell was just unbearable.-call and speak with the "manager",& he tells me to bring it in and they will take a look at it, when they can, because it gets busy and there is a first come first serve basis.and they will see if they can squeeze me in. so basically they need to get new customers in before they have to fix something they messed up on. I spent $250 for an eight hour "quality" install, and I don't see quality, more like last minute end of day rushed!Product_Or_Service: sound system installOrder_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlementwell I want it hooked up right, & maybe a little discrepancy being that I have paid already maybe a concern for my inconvenience, (you are an important customer bring it in and we will fix it asap) but if they can't do it then I might as well get my money back and take it to another shop.
