C & E Appliance Service Reviews (26)

Must say, I was somewhat leery after reading the previous reviewsBut being [redacted] *** Corp set up the arrangement, it was up to them to get a repair service here to replace the shattered inner glass on the door of my self cleaning oven rangeI was pleasantly pleased with the overall service provided by C & EWithin days of initial contact, the part was both received and replaced, and at a very reasonable priceCouldn't have asked for moreKim may need a little "brush up" on customer service, but Krystal is definitely a gem! She was courteous, sensitive to the needs, knowledgeable and promptShe even called after business hours to confirm the service tech appointment for replacementAbove and beyond! Sometimes in business, our experiences are determined by who we have contact with, and Krystal was the key componentThe tech was prompt, and spent less than an hour to complete the repair, clean up and leaveA pleasurable experience for sure

We received a dispatch from [redacted] for [redacted] on 11-14-for their [redacted] gas dryer The customer complaint was "squealing noise" Our tech went out to the home on 11-18-and determined that the unit needed a new idler pulley and rollers The parts were delivered to the customer home and the tech returned on 11-25-to install the parts The rollers received were incorrect and needed to be reordered This job was complete on 12-16- The customer had an extended warranty thru [redacted] at the time of service The parts were ordered and paid for thru the extended service company All [redacted] repairs have a day warranty The customer did not contact us until February to say that they were having an issue with the unit By this time, the customer no longer had an extended warranty with [redacted] and their day warranty on the original service was long over We can certainly go back out to the customer's home, but it would be at a cost to them unless they can receive authorization from [redacted] to extend their warranty We will not go back to the home at no cost

This is the worst company I have ever worked with in my fifty yearsThey don't keep appointments and fail to notify they aren't comingOut of appointments, they missed On the one they managed to make, they send an unlicensed guy that knew absolutely nothing about refrigerators on a Saturday when [redacted] was closed so he couldn't get any helpThey make sure they call you just before closing so you can't call back and speak to themNEVER do business with them in any way!!!

Fantastic customer service! I have a year old *** *** Dryer that is just out of warranty and started having problems*** *** graciously offered to fix the machine and send parts to an appliance service of my choice I picked C&E because another company did not service my needs Justin came just now, Oct 16, rep!aced all the parts, explained to me what was done, and before he left, told me to call if there were any other issues The office staff was superb, worked with *** *** and I, and fixed everything in a time!y fashionI highly recommend C&E!!! My dryer is now purring

Initially, I called on a Saturday, left a message and did not hear back to set up an appointmentA week later, I called again(foolish me) and set up an appointment for PM on a TuesdayAt 1PM the date of the appointment, I was informed that they would not be coming out to service my appliance because it was now not convienent because they would have to pay him to wait around to meet the established appointmentI was even told that I wouldn't do business if it that way and pay an employee to be on the clock to meet an established appointmentQuite an unprofessional companyI originally called them because of something I read that they were reliableThat's a joke! Someone from the company must have written that after leaving early I went elsewhere

C & E Appliance Service was assigned to me when I requested a service call through a *** extended service contract on my refrigerator I looked up C & E and was concerned by the bad reviews I saw postedThey called on the morning of the service date and gave me a 'window' for later that dayThe repairman arrived well within the time given, recognized the problem, explained it, got the necessary part from his truck and made the repairHe was courteous and competentMy experience was positiveThe only difficulty I had was with the *** extended service representative who I found to be rude and discourteous and tried to tell me it was a maintenance issue and that I would be responsible

Run away as fast as possible!!! A complete bunch of crooks! First, they never showed up are called telling me thy would not be here for their first appointment. I was quoted a $39.00 service fee for the job. Tey showed up a day late and charged my wife a $79.00 service fee on top of a 65.00 labor fee. This for all of ten minutes of work and NO parts were needed! I called Moses, the contact person, to question his charge and he NEVER returned my calls!

I completely agree with these reviews. I rarely complain, but I have to in this case in hopes of saving some poor family from having to deal with this company.
I had to use C & E Appliance because my [redacted]l dishwasher was under warranty. I booked a service appointment on [redacted] website for a Monday between 12 & 4pm and confirmed it with a [redacted] rep that same day over the phone to be safe.
Sunday night I got a call from a service manager at C & E who asked me about the problem and requested that I do some things on the dishwasher to help him troubleshoot. I answered the questions he asked as best as I could and told him that I did all the things the manual and [redacted] rep asked me to and [redacted] determined that I needed a service call. He said that he would like to avoid sending a tech out two times if possible. I told him that I was with my family and that he would have to come out and diagnose the problem himself and if he didn't have the part on the truck that was just a part of doing business.
Take a second and think about this. They're calling me on Sunday at dinner time and asking me to do their job for them so they can maybe not have to come to my home twice if it needs a part. What [redacted] on these people.
So the next day they call me at 10:00 am and told me that they would be able to make it out to my home. They tried to tell me that the service manager told me that it may be difficult to get out there until later in the evening. I told them that that was NOT what he said. He agreed to come in the 12-4 window. So the service manager was [redacted] the office people or the office people were [redacted] me.
I told them that that was unacceptable. My wife had arranged her day so that she could be home for the appointment and to cancel two hours before the start of the appointment window was something you just don't do. Then they tried to blame it on [redacted] for booking them. I told them that that was a lie, because they provide [redacted] with booking appointment windows and [redacted] just assigns them.
Horrible business practices, horrible service. Avoid these people like the plague on a ten foot turd.

Complaint Information:
text-align: left;" valign="top"> I would like to begin by saying we received a letter in the mail today from the Revdex.com stating that we failed to respond to a complaint and that we needed to respond within 7 calendar days. We never received the initial complaint letter and the letter received today was dated on 10-7-15. We are already late to respond to a complaint that we were not aware of. We received a dispatch to service Ms. [redacted]'s refrigerator from her extended warranty company on 7-27-15 and scheduled a tech to go out on 7-28-15. Based on the complaint, he preordered her a damper control. Once at her home, he determined the unit had a sealed system leak and installed a dye drier . He returned to the customer's home on 8-26-15 and checked for any refrigerant leak. The tech found the unit to not show any refrigerant leaks and the unit was cooling properly at this time. The tech told the customer to call back if the issue returned, but there was no repair that was needed at this time. Ms. [redacted] called into the office the following day to state that she had scratches on her hardwood floor. After speaking with the tech, it was determined that the scratches were on the floor prior to any service done by us. This unit has non marking rollers and any scratches that were on the floor were done not by our service technician, but when the refrigerator was previously replaced by another company. We will not be held responsible for damage done to a floor prior to our service.

Complaint: [redacted]
They claimed to have replaced all 4 dryer rollers during the service call. It's a shame I didn't watch the technician perform the service. In February the dryer started the noise again. C and E refused to visit without me paying $150. I opened the dryer myself, took it apart and found the rear 2 dryer rollers HAD NOT BEEN REPLACED! In fact, they were rusted and squealing when turned. Clearly the tech didn't feel like performing the more difficult service and replaced only the front 2! I ordered the parts and replaced them myself. I contacted C and E to advise them that the service tech didn't perform the service as claimed and give them a chance to make things right. C and E advised it was my word against his - despite the fact that I'm sitting here staring at the rusted 2 replaced rollers! then the manager suggested that I have a water issue that rusted them! IN 2 months time?! In a dryer?! I've had enough with them. This is consumer fraud pure and simple.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

the customer home and the tech returned on 11-25-13 to install the parts.  The rollers received were incorrect and needed to be reordered.  This job was complete on 12-16-13.  The customer had an extended warranty thru [redacted] at the time of service.  The parts were ordered and paid for thru the extended service company.  All [redacted] repairs have a 30 day warranty.  The customer did not contact us until February to say that they were having an issue with the unit.  By this time, the customer no longer had an extended warranty with [redacted] and their 30 day warranty on the original service was long over.  We can certainly go back out to the customer's home, but it would be at a cost to them unless they can receive authorization from [redacted] to extend their warranty.  We will not go back to the home at no cost.

I was pleasantly pleased with the overall service provided by C & E. Within 3 days of initial contact, the part was both received and replaced, and at a very reasonable price. Couldn't have asked for more. Kim may need a little "brush up" on customer service, but Krystal is definitely a gem! She was courteous, sensitive to the needs, knowledgeable and prompt. Review: C&E Appliances was referred to me by [redacted] Product Warranty Dept. After several unsuccessful attempts to coordinate a service appointment with this company, I asked [redacted] to assign another Service Company, which they did. The other company [redacted] assigned scheduled the appointment with me within a week's time, came out looked at my 5 month old dryer and repaired the machine on the spot. The problem was that the auto sensor was not working. The issue was just a loose connection from the factory that needed to be tightened.

To explain my issue with C&E I need to back up a bit; during one of my calls with C&E, the technician told me the auto sensor issue was a common problem with my model and he knew just what parts to order. The technician - without ever stepping into my home or personally inspecting my appliance, ordered and had delivered to my home a couple of parts (as I mentioned earlier, the problem was a simple loose connection - no parts were necessary to repair the issue).

After C&E received notice from [redacted] that they had assigned the service request to another Appliance Service Center, C&E asked that I leave the parts outside my home and they would pick them up - which I complied and they confirmed retrieving.

A few weeks go by and I get another call from C&E asking for the model and serial number off my dryer. Since I was at work when they called I was not able to get the information to them at that moment. I offered to email them the information at a later date. But after thinking about it for a while I became suspicious as to why they would need information on an appliance they had done nothing to. So, I called [redacted] and asked why they would need this information. The [redacted] Customer Service Rep and I both concluded, the only reason they would need this information would be to put through a fraudulent claim to [redacted] Warranty Department. I was instructed to ignore C&E's phone calls, which I did.

Four months go by and now I get a bill in the mail from C&E for $158.79 for parts and service. Keeping in mind, they provided no services or parts for my appliance. Nor had they at any point ever stepped foot in my home.

[redacted] is investigating their actions but I feel other consumers should be warned of their fraudulent practices.Desired Settlement: I am asking for your help in stopping all future correspondences from C&E.

C & E Appliance Service was assigned to me when I requested a service call through a [redacted] extended service contract on my refrigerator. I looked up C & E and was concerned by the bad reviews I saw posted. They called on the morning of the service date and gave me a 'window' for later that day. The repairman arrived well within the time given, recognized the problem, explained it, got the necessary part from his truck and made the repair. He was courteous and competent. My experience was positive. Review: C & E came out three times in 2014 under an [redacted] Service Agreement. The problem was the self-cleaning part. They replaced the sensor for the self-cleaner two or three times and every time they did, it worked once or twice and did not work again. This fourth time at the beginning of 2015, I called several times leaving messages. When I finally was able to place a service call, they never called to confirm the service and never showed up.Desired Settlement: Since this sensor is defective, I would like them to replace the whole self-cleaning system, not just the sensor. If this is not possible, I would like them to reach out to [redacted] which I had asked twice to resolve the problem. If this means getting me a new range, then so be it.

Review: I have a [redacted] extended warranty for a refrigerator that I purchased. I had a problem with the refrigerator, and the local company that [redacted] uses to service the extended warranty products is C and E. C and E came and repaired the leak from the refirgerator, this all began in August 2013. The leak contunied to occur, so C and E came back and tried another repair. It seems that the leak is fine now, but summer is when this is most notable. So while the leak may be repaired, the service technician accidentally threw away the bars that attach to the freezer door, the bars assist with freezer food storage. This must have been in October. As soon as I realized that the freezer door bars were missing, I called C and E. The repair man came out one more time for a final fix and he forgot to bring the freezer door bars and said he would drop them in my front entrance breeezeway that is unlocked. He never dropped them off. I have called the company at least 20 times since then and every time they tell me that the repairman will bring the freezer door bars and drop them off. Again I called today and they are supposed to get back to me. I want the bars to my freezer door.Desired Settlement: I want the bars to my freezer door.

Website Complaint Response:

C&E Appliance staff has spoke with the customer on numerous occasions about the freezer racks to her unit. We had taken this information to the technician numerous times, the office staff was told by the technician he was to rectify the situation with the customer, unfortunately that specific technician never followed through on the promises made to the office staff who would forward the information over to the customer. At this time, two racks are on order and are shipping to the customer directly from the parts distributer. The customer should receive the racks within the next 5-7 days. We apologize to the customer for all the inconvenience she has had to endure and hope that this will settle the situation.
